POSTS STORIES REELS

After almost 10 years, it’s time for me to say goodbye to Sports Spectrum.

And honestly, I don’t know how to put this into words.

What started as a job became a calling. A ministry. A family. A huge part of who I am.
I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the people God placed in my life along the way.

To Steve Stenstrom, Howard Haworth, Jon Ackerman, Aaron Sauer, Annabelle Hasselbeck, Matt Forte, Scott Linebrink, Raymond St Martin, Krystin McConnell, and so many other teammates over the years — people like Rachel, Tricia, Bekah, Jacob, Leah, Josh, Benjamin, Joe, Greg — you all made me better at my job and more importantly, you challenged me to go deeper with Jesus. THANK YOU.

To every athlete, coach, broadcaster, author, pastor and speaker who trusted me with your story: THANK YOU. I’ll never take that trust for granted.

And to everyone who watched, listened, read, posted, shared, encouraged, emailed, DM’d, prayed and believed in what we were doing—THANK YOU. You made this work matter.

For nearly 10 years, God gave me the incredible privilege of using two things I love—sports and media—to point people toward the thing I love most: Jesus. That’s something I’ll never stop being grateful for.

Leaving hurts. A lot.

The friendships. The late nights. The long days. The hard days. The conversations. The big moments. The 9 Super Bowls. The countless stories. I’ll carry all of it with me.

But even through the sadness, I have peace. I believe God is calling me into a new season and a new assignment. I’m excited for what’s ahead, even as I grieve leaving something that has meant so much to me.

Sports Spectrum will always be an important part of my story.

THANK YOU for 10 incredible years.

I’m leaving with a full heart, deep gratitude, and more love for these people and this place than I could ever put into words.

How do you forgive someone who has hurt you for most of your life?
For years Jason Romano @jasonromano carried anger and resentment toward his father, whose alcoholism had torn their relationship apart.
But after a life changing moment, Jason discovered something unexpected: forgiveness was not about excusing his father’s actions. It was about freeing himself from the pain he had carried for decades.
In this powerful conversation Jason shares his journey from bitterness to forgiveness, the role faith played in his healing, and why reconciliation does not mean forgetting the past.

Today starts a new chapter. Grateful to join the team of @nationsofcoaches and continue the mission. 🏀 by @jasonromano

Jason Romano spent 17 years at ESPN, then launched the Sports Spectrum podcast in 2017 with no podcasting experience. Now he’s joining a Christian ministry, and he told ChurchLeaders how it started with a nudge he felt from the Lord. @jasonromano https://churchleaders.com/news/2223946-jason-romano-sports-spectrum-nations-of-coaches.html by @jasonromano

Mike Ditka was a legend. I had the honor of working with him at ESPN for many years. He was truly DA COACH. Revered by everyone. What an icon. He will be missed.

Ditka did a bit on Sunday NFL Countdown in 2014 where my Sarah got to take part wearing her Peyton Manning jersey.
