From ਭਉ to ਨਿਰਭਉ — from fear to fearlessness.

My interpretation of Ustad Mansoor’s Falcon on a Bird-Rest imagines Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s falcon ready to fly, with Anandgarh Fort in the background.

Beyond the frame, the imagery carries my understanding of Guru Sahib’s message of transformation: from cowardice to fierce courage, from sparrow to falcon, from jackal to lion. A movement from the lower to the higher, awakening the strength to rise beyond fear.

Amor De Familia

Description: Amor de Familia celebrates the enduring strength of family. At the heart of the composition, a family of four travels together on a scooter—a symbol of modest means and limited material resources. Yet, despite these constraints, they continue their journey with love, resilience, and togetherness, suggesting that true wealth lies not in possessions but in the bonds we share.

The scooter serves as a metaphor for life’s journey. The father, seated at the front, represents guidance, responsibility, and provision, steering the family forward through life’s uncertainties. Behind him, the mother symbolizes unwavering support and sacrifice, nurturing her children and strengthening the family from within. Together, they form the foundation upon which future generations are built.

The king and queen chess pieces symbolize the father and mother as the two indispensable pillars of the family. Like the most significant pieces on a chessboard, they work in harmony, balancing strength with wisdom to guide and protect those they love.

The skyline of St. Petersburg, forms the backdrop of the composition. It situates the work within a Russian cultural context while emphasizing that the ideals of love, care, and family transcend borders and cultures. Above the central image, the Russian double-headed eagle signifies the nation’s heritage and reflects the coexistence of tradition and progress, echoing the continuity of family values across generations.

The sun and crescent moon represent the passage of day and night, symbolizing the constancy of familial love through every stage of life. In contrast, the solitary car below the main composition represents material abundance without companionship, suggesting that wealth alone cannot provide the fulfillment that comes from shared experiences and meaningful relationships.

Ultimately, Amor de Familia is a reflection on what truly defines prosperity. It proposes that the greatest richness is found not in what we own, but in the people with whom we share life’s journey. by @jaspalsinghart

The lion said,
“I am king. I never change.”

The peacock said,
“My beauty is constant.”

The snake said,
“My nature is fixed—fear me or respect me.”

Then they laughed at the chameleon sitting quietly on a tree.

You keep changing colors—how can you be trusted?

The chameleon slowly turned from green to brown and replied: I don’t change colors, I understand the world.

The animals mocked him.

One day, hunters entered the forest.

The lion was seen.
The peacock was caught.
The snake was killed.

But the chameleon… disappeared into the tree.

When the forest fell silent again, the chameleon spoke:
The one who lives in only one color is easily recognized—and destroyed.

Medium: Natural pigments on handmade wasli, heightened with 24k gold
I once saw a cow standing motionless in garbage, not reacting, not resisting, as if silently questioning God.

In this miniature, her stillness becomes prayer.
Her gaze becomes surrender.
The gold tears symbolize divine witness suffering seen by the Eternal when the world looks away.

The turbulent green background represents the chaos surrounding us: neglect, noise, and abandonment. Yet she remains calm within it, rooted in faith rather than despair.

This work reflects quiet endurance
and the truth that when all support falls away,
we are still held by God. by @jaspalsinghart

I once saw a cow standing still in a pile of garbage.
Not moving. Not reacting. Just standing.

In that moment, it felt as if she was asking questions to God
about pain, neglect, and her place in this world.

Through this miniature, I wanted to create that silent connection.
When you look into her, I want you to see what she must be going through in today’s world
abandoned, unheard, yet enduring. by @jaspalsinghart
