I finally read it!

This was such a beautifully written book, I truly loved it. My favorite part was the stunning imagery of nature, transporting me to the North Carolina marsh lands. I couldn't put this book down and was enthralled the whole time. Such a heart-wrenching and captivating read. 💕

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope all of the mommies out there are having a lovely day!

I finished this book a couple of weeks ago and I really enjoyed it. It had so much emotional resonance for me: the dynamics between mothers and daughters, the sacrifices women make for their children and my ancestors who left everything they knew behind to keep their families safe...I shed a lot of tears! Send For Me was a short and sweet, yet beautiful story.

Do you collect any Christmas items?

I get a snowflake ornament for our tree every year. I just think they are so pretty! ❄

I started a snowglobe collection for my little ones after my youngest was born and I am obsessed! There's something so magical about snowglobes.

I hope you all are having a great start to you week!

What does Christmas mean to you?

To me, it means family. I'm so thankful all of my loved ones are happy and healthy. Christmas is going to look a little different this year but that's ok! We still have eachother and I'm excited to see what new traditions we will start this year!

My mom gifted me this book in 2008 and I still haven't read it (Hi, mom!). I think this will be the perfect time to give it a read.

What is your favorite holiday read?

I haven't read many but I love Christmas tales that have a spooky undertone. I'm going to try to binge a few of my shorter festive reads.

Happy Saturday! I hope you all are having a safe and fun weekend!

Happy Friday!

What do you usually do on Black Friday?

I like to stay cozy at home and sleep off my food coma! I try to stay away from any and all stores! I have done the midnight sales and waited in lines a couple of times in the past but never really gotten into it. I know people who really enjoy it and have seen some hysterical things while Black Friday shopping!

"To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven." -JOHANNES A. GAERTNER

I am a busy little elf today! I've been outside putting up all of our lights today and I'm starting on inside now. I hope to have everything put up before Thurs so I can focus on family time. 💕

I hope you are all having a great weekend!

Random question...do you prefer marshmallows or whipped cream on top of your hot chocolate?

I almost always choose marshmallows, yum!
