Dear Summer,
Please don’t be in such a rush. I noticed how you leave the function earlier and earlier each time…& before I know it, you will stop coming altogether. I know soon…I will miss you so very much, in the same way I already miss July so terribly.

Please…linger just a little bit longer. Sprinkle just a few more freckles upon my nose & cheeks. Sprout a few more fields of wildflowers & warm the lakes for more days of floating in tubes with cold turkey sandwiches & the bestest of friends. There’s berries and watermelons that still need you to ripen.

Let the humidity hang low in the valley & slow the winding of the clocks. People are always telling the seasons…”you’re too hot!!!…you’re too cold!!!” & then questioning why time, passes all too quickly by @jaspercloudw

Went from snowboard, boarding snow, snow on board, snowboard this, snowboard that….to work work work mud, tape, sand, sneeze, prime, whine during ladder time…all in the name of…..

Been working 6 days a week, still finding time to frolick in the Adirondacks and jump into creeks, and somehow still picking up…(audible gasp!!!) another job in a week ;) chasin dreams ain’t for the meek

I just keep telling the snowboard gremlin inside of me- “listen here buddy, getting this bakery done will mean more snowboarding…& it also means more cookies? Snowboarding and cookies, ok?”

Is it really Spring in NY unless you get whiplash? One moment your snowboarding, the next there’s daffodils sprouting out of every yard, and then it’s snowing again, & then it’s 85 degrees outside & your wondering if you’re too early or too late on planting crops.

Ok also I promise, pinky….this is the last snowboard post (for now >:] till next szn, t-minus 7 months babyyyyy)

Welcome to spring shenanigans folks…ya cant make any of this $hit up…ya can’t find it at your local grocery store…and ya better get ready to laugh ur butt cheeks clean off

There might only be a handful of psychos who are still trying to grasp at any piles of snow at this point of spring…& I’m dang darn grateful to be part of that pack.

I’m not gonna tag all you goofballs…you know who you are. Thanks for making my cheeks ache. I love you guys <3

Dear Denver airport lost & found Lady, thanks for finding my lost luggage. Dear TSA guy who lost it in the first place, hope you stub ur pinky toe

Just got all my ish shipped back in the mail today, thanks to Emmet

Turns out sometimes you get attached to things….& sometimes those things are the really sweet gifts your friends gave you for your birthday (& also my snowboard helmet)

Can’t believe I knew yall when I was still sneaking into bars under aged & now most of us have knee problems 8 years later

Seasons may pass & god damnit now we all live in completely different parts of the world, but the love is a bond. Like gum on the bottom of a shoe

Born on Dec 3rd; a full moon baby

26 took me for a ride…got hit in the face with a sheet of ice from the top of a semi truck, lost 4 dear friends, learned how grief sits on your chest, and also how it softens you

Got a complex tear in my meniscus & got lymes disease

Grew some of the sweetest beets I’ve ever tasted, shared them with friends & family, & drank enough beet juice I peed purple for weeks

Worked at an Applebees…enough said

Ripped the walls of my bakery off…learned how dusty dry wall & insulation is

Learned some new yoga poses. Learned I can meditate for 2+ hours…how beautiful silence & stillness & how it still echos

Went swimming. A lot. Turns out you can take the rat outa the beach but ya can’t take the beach outa the rat. A guys gotta swim.

Took a typewriter apart, & put it back together & started writing poetry. Remembered I’m horrible at spelling without auto correct

Cried and snotted all over multiple hoodie sleeves after loosing pickle. Fuck…

Read a book about a man who could move clouds

Reconnected with old friends & made new ones. Fell in love and then tripped and busted my chin up & turns out I’ll do it all over again

Ripped my heart outa my ribs and slapped it on my sleeve. Gotta let the lover boy, love

Baked my first ever sweet potato pie. It fucks

Got a job as a snowboard instructor

I’d let 26 roll over me again, crush me. Muddled and pressed. Dust my pants off, get up, keep walking, keep singing, keep laughing. I’m in it for the long game.

I love all the people I get to laugh with & share this timeline with. I see me in you, you in me, us in the trees, and in the creeks & tree canopy’s. It’s magic. & it’s real. Cheers to 27…this time I’ll tie my laces & see if I trip less by @jaspercloudw

My dearest pickle. You were my besty friendy. You were walking medicine and living proof that magic is indeed, real, and infinitely wrapping around us. You were a fucking goofball and brought laughter to all, to me, in the deepest parts of my belly. You were a feeling of home & safety. You walked alongside me in the dark forest, something that once scared me, until you taught me this is home. You taught, with alot of bossy barking, to go outside & play and laugh as much as possible. If I could throw you one more ball of snow, walk alongside the creek, or press my forehead against yours….

I see you, in everything now. Your tail swiping through the corn stalks, in the fresh blankets of snow, the streaks of pink in a sunset, sniffing through the apple orchard, and precariously perched at the foot of Sam’s driveway.

You were fierce & fearless, maybe even crazy at times. Yet simultaneously, curious and slow enough to stop and smell the flowers growing in the garden.

I love you pickle, in every life, in every form…thank you for being the bestest, best friend of a lifetime. It was a divine honor & gift to have experienced life with you in it. Being by your side I knew, I was always, exactly where I needed to be. by @jaspercloudw
