a book i waited forever for. i finished you and now you’ll be in everyone’s hands tomorrow. getting you early was the best thing the universe could have given me as a crescent city stan. will i get every other version out there? most likely.. my amazon copy just shipped lol should be here tomorrow so you aren’t without a twin lol. she’s probably like.. woah, i’m alone kinda. my collection (for now) is complete. fairyloot and illumicrate.. i’m coming for those hofas copies😈

where do i even begin? for those who have followed me for a long time, you know just how much this series means to me. it’s what makes me, well me. i met bryce quinlan in september 2022 and since that monumental day, i have just more and more attached to her and this world. i have never loved a male main character the way i love orion athalar. i will fight Hel’s armies for bryce and hunt. i would span across stars and worlds to find them. they exist in every organism in my body. rereading this book has given me a better view on it. i loved the plot, the characters, everything. i love that they fight for what’s wrong even in the face of their own fears and insecurities from past failures. they love each other so greatly that even in distant worlds, they find each other again and again. ruhn & lidia mean the world to me. my second favorites in this entire universe. like i said, CC is just it for me. and im bias but who cares! my favorite angry girl<3

nesta is very hated in this fandom and that’s something i’ll never understand. hatred against a character who is so raw and feels their emotions. people claim they want morally grey characters, characters who aren’t sitting pretty all the time but all the while, they don’t take the time and effort to get to actually know her. they dismiss her story of growth to just smut when it’s so much more. she feels everything, too much. she doesn’t cope with it well and she’s drowning but no water fills her lungs. she’s deeply precious to me, especially after this reread. i do condemn her actions towards feyre and agree they could’ve been handled better but she didn’t have the tools to deal with her own demons. and i don’t think people should hate her for that. dislike her? sure, go ahead. but to hate and spew lies about her, choke🩶 by @jassandnoble

this story is so much more than smut. it’s a reclaiming.
reclaiming one’s body, mind, and soul. a story about letting go of that self loathing, about acknowledging the demons that dwell in our minds but not letting them control us or our emotions. a story about growth, making new friends, rekindling relationships that were straining. nesta is so much more than the bitch y older sister many see her as. the only one to venture into a forest, without any doubt, to find her little sister. she cares but shows it differently than others. someone who held onto the hope that their father would eventually care, and try. she was angry, so angry, for so long. she’s a complex character that many people either choose to not u def stand, or don’t care to. too involved in themselves. she’s a representation of someone who feels unworthy. she uses venom as a shield to protect herself from feeling anything at all, we shouldn’t hate her for it, especially after she’s shown the growth. i love nesta and her story, this reread has made me love her even more.
