One of my favorite things about Java Moon is that you can walk in and actually stay awhile.

Jacey might be behind the bar making your drink exactly how you like it. Our baristas are crafting each drink to order, our kitchen is making food from scratch, and there is usually someone sitting nearby catching up with a friend, having a meeting, reading, or just taking a little break in the middle of the day.

That is the part of Java Moon I never want us to lose.

Yes, you can absolutely run in, grab your coffee and keep going. But you can also come in, order something made just for you, find a table, have lunch, stay for another cup and make Java Moon part of your day.

We would love to have you in today.

Sometimes you just want something fresh that still feels like a real meal.

Our Harvest Moon Salad has quickly become one of my favorite things on the menu. Seasoned chicken, crisp apples, feta, pumpkin seeds, a drizzle of honey, and our homemade signature dressing all come together so well.

It’s fresh, filling, a little sweet, a little savory — and such a good change of pace when you’re craving something other than your usual lunch.

I had to go see what was happening in the bakery today… and Summer was in there making these.

Our sugar cookies got a fall makeover, and watching every little flower and detail get piped on by hand is one of those things I could watch all day.

This is the part of Java Moon that people don’t always get to see — our bakers back there mixing, baking, frosting and getting everything ready before it ever makes it into the bakery case.

And yes… the cookies are stocked and ready for you today.

This crew makes us laugh every single day.

There is a lot that goes into working at Java Moon, but one of the things we love most is the people. The friendships, the conversations, the busy shifts, the inside jokes… and yes, the coffee.

We are hiring baristas at Java Moon right now, and more than anything, we’re looking for the right people to join this team.

People who work hard, are kind, enjoy people, and want to be part of what we are building here.

And yes… the shift drink is a pretty good perk too.

What do our baristas actually order?

We asked a few of them to share their favorite Java Moon drinks, and I love how different every answer is.

Today both Java Moon locations are closed for Employee Appreciation Day, so it felt like the perfect time to put the spotlight on the people behind the counter.

These are the people making your coffee, learning your order, greeting you in the morning, working through the rushes, and helping make Java Moon what it is.

We are incredibly grateful for this team, and today we’re taking a little time to appreciate them and spend some time together.

Both locations are closed today, Sunday, September 27, and we’ll be back tomorrow.

This is exactly why we wanted Java Moon to be part of Venture & Vibe.

For us, coffee has always been about more than what’s in the cup. It’s about gathering people together, building community, and finding little ways to take care of ourselves and each other along the way.

Today we got to bring a different side of Java Moon out of the shops and share some of the things we love — Chagaccino mushroom coffee, our Cran-Apple Energy Spritzer made with a natural caffeine source from green coffee beans, and a few Java Moon favorites.

But my favorite part has been the people. Getting to visit, answer questions, share samples and be surrounded by so many local businesses and people who care about community, health and wellness feels like a really good fit for us.

Thank you to Wyo Venture & Vibe for creating a space for Sheridan to gather like this. We’re so happy to be here.

This Sunday, we’re closing Java Moon Downtown for something really important — our people.

Relationships have always mattered to us. The relationships we build with our customers, within our community, and especially with the people who work beside us every day.

Our team is such a big part of what makes Java Moon what it is. They are the ones making the coffee, baking the food, learning your orders, welcoming you in, keeping things moving behind the scenes, and creating the experience people have when they walk through our doors.

So this Sunday, September 27th, Java Moon Downtown and Java Moon Station will both be closed for Employee Appreciation Day. We’re taking the day to spend time together, celebrate our team, and simply say thank you for everything they do.

Building a strong team and a strong community go hand in hand for us, and we never want to lose sight of that.

And as our Java Moon team continues to grow, we are currently looking for a barista and a General Manager. If being part of a place that values people, relationships, teamwork, and community sounds like something you’d like to be part of, we’d love to hear from you.

Thank you for understanding our closure Sunday. We’ll be back Monday and ready to see you.

We’re taking Java Moon to Wyo Venture & Vibe this Saturday!

We’re excited to be part of @WyomingVentureVibe and bring a little bit of Java Moon along with us.

We’ll be sampling two drinks we’re really excited for people to try:

Our Chagaccino — we start with our coffee and add a functional blend of wild-foraged chaga mushroom, cacao and cinnamon. Chaga is an adaptogen often used to support stress response, immunity and smoother energy — and no, it doesn’t taste like mushrooms. It has a rich, slightly chocolatey flavor.

Our Cran-Apple Energy Spritzer — bright, refreshing and naturally caffeinated with energy from green coffee beans. It’s a fun alternative when you want a little boost without reaching for a traditional energy drink.

We’re also bringing some of our favorite grab-and-go items — energy bites, breads, muffins, whole bean coffee, pressed juices, energy shots, merchandise and more.

There’s something about fall that makes me want to slow everything down a little.

A cold morning. A favorite coffee. A few extra minutes before the day really gets going.

That’s what I love about this season at Java Moon Downtown. You can feel the shift in the shop — the drinks change, the bakery case starts looking more like fall, and somehow a cup of coffee feels a little more like a ritual again.

What I love most is seeing people come through the door, meet up with friends, sit for a while, and be part of the rhythm of downtown. That sense of community is such a big part of Java Moon — and somehow fall makes you notice it even more.

A coffee run never looked so good.

There’s just something about that first coffee of the day.

Maybe it’s watching the espresso pour. Maybe it’s the first sip. Maybe it’s walking into a place where you already know what you’re ordering — or pulling through the drive-thru because you have exactly three minutes to spare.

Whatever your coffee routine looks like, we love getting to be a little part of it.

Some Saturdays in Sheridan just feel full before the day even really gets started.

This is one of them.

Born in a Barn is happening. The Mane Event has riders out on the roads. Mountain West Book Fest is at Whitney Commons. People are heading downtown, meeting friends, taking kids places, shopping, riding, running, reading, and trying to fit just a little more into the day.

And I love weekends like this.

There’s something really fun about watching Sheridan get out and do things.

Of course, somewhere in the middle of all of that, there’s usually a stop for coffee.

Maybe it’s before you head out for the morning. Maybe you need breakfast because you left the house a little too fast. Maybe you’re meeting somebody downtown. Or maybe you just need twenty quiet minutes, something warm to eat, and a cup of coffee before you head back out again.

That’s the part we get to be here for.

The espresso is going. The bakery case is full. Breakfast and lunch are ready. And our crew is here doing what they do on a busy Saturday morning.

Whatever your Saturday has you doing today, I hope you get out and enjoy Sheridan a little.

Some weekends just make you want to create something for them.

Born in a Barn has that kind of feel.

It’s one of those very Sheridan weekends that gets people out, brings people together, and feels a little different than an ordinary Friday and Saturday.

So when our baristas started talking about this week’s special, they wanted something that actually fit the weekend instead of just picking another flavor combination.

One of the things I love about our weekly specials is that our baristas get to play around a little. They’re the ones behind the bar every day. They know what people order, what flavors work together, and what sounds fun enough to make you want to try something different.

This week, they wanted something warm, a little sweet, a little western — and still coffee first.

That’s how the Cowboy Campfire came together: maple, toasted marshmallow and mocha.

They came up with it for this weekend, and honestly, it just fits.
