I had such a good time learning about and connecting with the SWANA diaspora community ahead of this one. Playing alongside these vibes pushed me to experiment in ways I don’t usually get to.. and that’s exactly why I do this.

J Ardor @javierbioe will be with us part of the @buildingbeats takeover of the loft on May 15 at @elsewherespace! Building beats is an amazing organization and we're very proud to have them program their alumni and family in our space :)

🎧 J Ardor is a New York–based artist and DJ crafting emotionally driven, club-ready sets rooted in Black electronic music. He moves fluidly between soulful house, percussive, bass-heavy rhythms, and R&B-infused edits, balancing intimacy with release. With a focus on storytelling through sound, J Ardor approaches each set as a journey. Blending global club influences and rhythmic experimentation while staying grounded in his signature emotional, groove-forward style. The result is an intentional, dynamic experience that feels deeply connected to the room.

📖 Building Beats is a nonprofit music education organization that builds career pathways for young people through music, technology, and creative media. Founded in 2013 with a small series of DJ workshops in the Bronx, Building Beats has grown into a citywide movement serving thousands of young people across New York City and Los Angeles.
