Steph Vigil channeled her lived experience as a gig worker into positive change, she took on rideshare and gig delivery companies at the Capitol and won better protections for drivers. She fought to lower rental application costs and to make it easier to build affordable housing.

Imagine getting from Denver to Fort Collins or Colorado Springs without sitting on I-25. 🚆

We are voting YES on 7A to connect 12 Front Range cities with passenger rail. Get to work, catch a Nuggets game, or Broncos game and leave the car at home.

We keep spending billions widening highways. It’s time to give people another option: less traffic, cleaner air, and more connected communities.

A third of a penny on the dollar. No new taxes groceries, gas, or prescriptions. It’s a no brainer.

Had so much fun catching up about the work ahead for renters and workers with @vigilforhd16 over some Rocky Road at The Citadel Mall in CO Springs. Steph flipped a deep-red district in 2022, came to the Capitol, and used her lived experience to fight for our most vulnerable neighbors. In 2024, she lost her seat by just 3 votes.

Steph is a labor champion, and I was proud to work alongside her to protect renters and rideshare drivers. She’s shown that you can be an uncompromising champion for progressive values and still win some of the toughest elections in Colorado.

Join us as we officially launch the campaign to defeat Proposition 132.

Prop 132 would spend hundreds of millions locking people up while we cut healthcare, addiction treatment, and public education. It punishes people struggling with addiction instead of investing in what actually saves lives.

The people building AI think it could kill us and they’re asking the government to step in.

More than 1,300 frontier-AI workers say they’re trapped in a race they can’t slow down on their own. Meanwhile, these systems are already evading safeguards, deceiving evaluators, and becoming more powerful faster than we understand.

And every time someone says slow down, we hear: But what if China beats us?
Beat us to what?

Congress should act now: slow frontier AI development, require independent safety testing, and make companies liable when their systems cause serious harm. We can and should enact strong liability triggers at the state level, we do not have to wait for federal action.

The future of humanity should not be left to a handful of corporations racing for profit.

Here’s to the last Labor Day where union power is held back by the Labor Peace Act. For too long, Colorado has preserved a system designed to weaken unions, as system designed by coal barons. The time to change it has long since passed.

From Ludlow to today, the lesson is the same. The only force capable of matching organized money is organized people.

Working people have been singing it in union halls since 1915. In our hands is placed a power greater than their hoarded gold.

It’s time to use it. It’s time to break down Colorado’s anti-union laws, rebuild worker power, and give working people a fighting chance. We will pass the worker protection act next year.

We spent the afternoon knocking doors in Colorado Springs for my friend @amyfor18. Our path to a super majority depends on holding this seat. Amy is fighting for a Colorado our neighbors can actually afford to call home. She’s a strong support of the worker protection act and a real partner in building a government that works for working people and delivers for our communities.
