Watching Jax's name come across the Loretta Lynn's broadcast this morning was such a proud moment. It was a reminder of how much work, sacrifice, and dedication it took to get here.

Sometimes life has different plans.

Instead of lining up at the gate this year, he'll be having surgery next week. While it's hard to see him face this challenge, we're believing it's just one small chapter in a much bigger journey.

If you could keep Jax in your prayers, we'd be so grateful. We're praying for a successful surgery, quick healing, and a full recovery.

Even before surgery, he's been running the 2.3-mile loop by our house several times a week to stay in shape. As soon as the doctors clear him, we'll get back to doing everything we can to keep him healthy, strong, and moving forward.

Setbacks don't define a person—how they respond to them does. We know he'll be back, and we're thankful for everyone who has supported and encouraged him along the way❤️

We have not wanted to make this announcement, unfortunately we will not be at Lorettas this year. Its a tough blow after all the work he has put in but we need to figure out what's going on with his hand. The orthopedic specialist thinks its a broken scaphoid bone. We are waiting to find out if it needs surgery. We wish all of our friends and fellow Oak Hill Team mates all the best! Go get some titles!! Most of all though, have fun❤️

Thank you everyone who has helped and supported us this year. We will be back🤘

Progress is a marathon, not a sprint. That's what someone once told me. Its so true.

Today Jax earned his second ticket of the season. It's also his third straight year qualifying for Loretta's and his second year racing multiple classes.

What people see is the ticket.

What they don't see are the thousands of miles in the van. The long drives home after tough weekends. The time spent away from family and friends. The early mornings, late nights, and countless hours at the track. The injuries that make you question everything. The moments of doubt when you're not sure if all the sacrifice is worth it.

Looking back, it's amazing how the goals have changed.

A few years ago, our dream was simply to qualify for Loretta's. We just wanted a ticket.

Then we got one.

Now the goals are different. Work hard enough to earn a top 10. Then a top 5. Then a podium. And maybe someday, a win.

It's all relative.

No matter where you are in your journey, there is always another level to chase. That's what makes growth so hard and so rewarding at the same time.

For the kids heading home this weekend without a ticket, don't give up.

Keep showing up. Keep working. Keep believing. The riders earning tickets today weren't handed anything. They earned it through years of hard work, setbacks, disappointments, and perseverance.

A few years ago, we were the family loading up the van and heading home without a ticket, wondering what we needed to do differently. Today, Jax is headed back to Loretta's for the third straight year.

The goals have changed, but the process hasn't.

Put in the work. Stay patient. Trust the process.

Progress happens one lap, one practice, one workout, and one race at a time. 🏁❤️

We want to take a minute and thank Doug for everything he has done for our family over the last year. He has gone above and beyond for us, taking countless late-night calls and texts and always being there when we needed help.

With our move to Texas, we mutually decided it made more sense to switch to Enzo since they are only about 20 minutes from Oak Hill. It was not an easy decision because we truly love Doug and appreciate everything he has done for Jax and our program. After a lot of discussion, we all agreed it was simply the most practical choice for where we are headed.

That said, we want to strongly encourage all of our PNW friends who need suspension or motor work to reach out to PDR Motorsports. Doug and his team will take care of you like family and provide top-notch service. We are incredibly grateful for their support and friendship and will always be cheering them on.

We haven’t posted much about World Minis yet, mostly because it was an emotional weekend for us. Thank you @web__media_ for the edit❤️

Going into the race, Jax had been sick since the weekend before. He barely ate for almost 4 days, and by the time practice started Thursday, he had only managed one real meal. We honestly weren’t even sure how things were going to go, but decided to see how practice felt… and he looked strong.

Gate pick motos came first, and he absolutely crushed them. Then the mains started and he came out swinging with 3rd in both of his first motos.

Sunday, he grabbed amazing starts all day — even pulling a holeshot in 125 B/C. On the last lap while running up front, he went down and the bike ended up over the berm. By the time he got it picked up and restarted, he went from 2nd to last with one lap to go. Tough break.

But he kept his head straight and lined back up for Schoolboy. Again, he was battling up front in 2nd/3rd… and then got a flat tire. Just like that, the weekend was over. No big trophies. No storybook ending.

But honestly? We could not be more proud.
To come into World Minis that sick, with his body still trying to recover, and still ride with that much fire, heart, and grit says everything about who he is. A lot of people would’ve folded before the gate even dropped, but he kept showing up and fighting every lap.

Sometimes motocross teaches lessons bigger than trophies. That weekend showed perseverance, toughness, and character — and that means more to us than hardware ever will. ❤️🏁

He had a great weekend at the @blucruofficial qualifier @oakhillmx earning 2nd in Schoolboy 1 and he went into moto 3 in 125cc sitting with a 2,3. He went for a new line and landed on a hay bale. A rider had just clipped it and it wasn't there the lap before. Tough luck. Gnarly get off, happy to not be broken. Resting up now and then back at training this week💪

Nothing worse then racing with an upset stomach. I don't know if he has food poisoning or a stomach bug but he tried his best to make it through today he threw up before every moto. Im proud of him for finishing. 3rd and 4th overall today.
