During my most recent trip to the @dollartree I saw these different colored glue bottles and thought… these could be fun!

Decided to set them out along with some other random craft supplies and let jaxon do his thing.

I don’t think it gets much simpler than this! Set out WHATEVER random supplies you have and a few different types of glue.

The rules are that there are no rules! Wanna use the entire bottle of glue and make big globs? Go for it 😂 that’s the fun of it!

Everything except the buttons and gold coins is from the @dollartree - so the price is right for this activity too 💰

Highly recommend doing this with your kids 🩵

Finding different ways to use toys you already have is a game changer! Normally I’d never think to use magnet tiles with our Cars Movie characters, but it was a fun change that had Jaxon excited to play for quite some time.

This is why I always talk about having items that are versatile - like our @magnatiles - the possibilities are endless!

@pixarcars is a classic in our home and will always be special to us so the more ways we can play with them, the better!

P.S. I find that setting out that brown paper acts as a blank canvas and as you can see in the video really promoted Jaxon to draw roads and other things! Markers and paper can really go a long way especially when used thoughtfully.

This ice cream parlor themed play date we did this week was beyond adorable & a huge hit with the kids! 🍦

I found all of the supplies and containers from @dollartree and the @target bullseye section!

The homemade Cloud Dough was THE PERFECT consistency for scooping ice cream and the kids were obsessed with it! 2 ingredients: corn starch and hair conditioner 🍦

I truly love seeing Jaxon and his friends use their imaginations and get so excited about these themed play dates and activities🩵

Jaxon was playing with some friends outside today and there was chalk and a bunch of Lego Duplo bricks and trains. I casually threw out there “maybe you can draw some train tracks” and he instantly got to work!

He drew all of these on his own without any further guidance and he kept expanding on his train tracks.

Let this be your reminder to let your kids use their imaginations and to throw little prompts their way to see where they take it! 🩵

Are you inundated with links and holiday gift recs on your feed yet?! 😴😑 I’m here with an actually unique, amazing quality item recommendation (NOT SPONSORED OR GIFTED) that will be the star of the show this holiday!

We’ve had our @itschompshop Chomp Saw for a year now & I can attest to the unlimited possibilities it has and it’s excellent quality. If you have a kid who loves to build, loves construction or is into STEM, this is really for them.

The company has lots of great info and resources on their website with ideas of projects to do with your chomp saw.

We started out last year learning basic cuts of cardboard and now Jaxon works on more complex shapes and designs. It’s an item that grows with your kid!

This is definitely a “big ticket item” that you can feel good about purchasing. Through ALLL of our declutters throughout the year, this one always remains.

These 3 learning materials have been staples for us throughout Jaxon’s toddler learning journey. It’s so easy to get overwhelmed and over complicate things - I’m guilty of that - sometimes we need a reminder that simple and effective learning materials are what our kids need and they’re enough!

1). @scholastic BOB book set - Jaxon can legitimately read books 1, 2 and 3. And it’s not just sight word recognition. If you follow their extremely simple instructions and explain the sounds of the letters shown on the inside cover of each book before starting, it helps a lot! We practice them every day, one time each… I worked on book 1 for about a month before even moving on! Slow and steady!

2). Wipe Clean writing books. @scholastic makes great ones that you can find at Target sometimes for $3!!! @priddybooks also makes amazing ones that we’ve had for YEARS! These types of books are genius and you get endless practice for a low price because you reuse them over and over again!

3). Homemade learning journal. I got a big sturdy journal book a couple years ago and would draw various scenes, create tons of simple sticker activities and learning pages. As you can see in the video some I showed are dated from 2024!!! And I still have the book! Now we use it for name writing practice.

If you’ve been following for a while, you’ve seen us share the books of the Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site series many times. It’s truly a classic and a favorite in our home since Jaxon was born!

I’m so grateful to have received this Deluxe version of the original book which comes with an activity and sticker book! Jaxon absolutely LOVED every second of it!

It comes with mazes, spot-the-differences activities, tons of stickers of the beloved characters from the books to make your own scenes and sites.

If you have littles who love vehicles, this is an absolute must! A series you can collect and grow with your kids.

Have you ever done crafts based on a book?! This is something we love to do & it was picked out of our boredom box recently! Jaxon chose this book - which we LOVE by the way - they have tons of different subjects and they’re extremely interactive with tons of huge flaps and great info about all the machinery and topics!

I laid out some supplies like foam paper cut into wheels and excavator tracks, popsicle sticks for crane beams, cabs cut out of construction paper, some glue and markers.

As you can see, Jaxon decided to replicate the cranes in the book and I loved watching him do little details like drawing the X braces and steps on the cranes.

This is a great way to have your littles absorb info from the books they’re reading too! Highly recommend!

🚦TRAFFIC JAM - boredom box going strong with a great pick this morning! We have SO many vehicles (as you can see 🫣) and lining up ALL of our vehicles is an activity in itself!

When Jaxon picked this he was instantly intrigued. He wasn’t believing that I really meant we were going to take all of our vehicles and line them up in a traffic jam. He got a kick out of it and began gathering all his buckets and bins of different trucks!

We did this for almost a full HOUR!! 🎉 One of the best parts of this activity was that he rediscovered vehicles we’ve had forever and he never reaches for because they’re in a bin or basket or not at the forefront.

This is why the boredom box and the “using what we have” challenge is so great! We’ve been rediscovering lots of things we already have and making use of the things already in our home.

If you have kids that have tons of vehicles or would be into this, I highly recommend doing it!

Sharing 3 incredibly simple activities we did this week using things we had at home! And if you don’t have them already, they’re extremely low cost (one is free!)

1). Tree craft using leaves from outside 🌳🍁 It’s the perfect time of year to go outside and collect some leaves! Cut out a tree shape using literally ANY paper you have and have your little one glue the leaves on! For some added writing practice, have them write their name or Fall 2026 on it!

2). Scratch Art 🌈 - this was a $3 kit from the @target bullseye spot that I had in my cabinet. It’s numbers and letters that you scratch into rainbow art and then can peel off as stickers. Truly for $3 it’s an activity that LASTS and is so fun!

3). Make A Truck Sticker Sheets 🛻 I’ve posted these before because they’re a favorite of ours. These packs of stickers are so fun because your kids will feel like they’re building and creating something! They can customize the trucks however they want! So many colors and designs. 24 packs for under $8. I always have some in my cabinet to pull out when we need something to do!

The sweetest little outdoor activity to do with your kids! 🌼 A COLOR WALK 🌻 Costs nothing, gets you outside, gives your littles something to focus on and it’s really fun! Jaxon chose yellow and we found tons of yellow things 💛

He’s already asking to do another one with a different color! Have you ever done one?! We also collected yellow leaves and are going to make a craft with them!

If you’ve been here for a little while, you know Jaxon is a picky eater and I’m always looking for ways to help him try new things and keep him nourished! So when I found out about a kids cooking class using organic, dye free ingredients, run by a Mama of Littles - I JUMPED on the registration and got Jaxon signed up!

Week 1 was mini apple pies and it exceeded expectations 🍎 Jaxon was totally hesitant to get his hands all up in the dough and flour - texture and sensory are factors he sometimes struggles with surrounding food - and this experience helped him be hands on and work with different textures and ingredients!

He really enjoyed the step by step process and especially loved peeling the apples! Overall, I HIGHLY recommend a kids cooking class in general but especially if your littles are picky eaters!
