MEET THE #WATAHBOYS
@jay.keyzmusic - 🎹MUSICAL DIRECTOR/PRODUCER

Jorell Nacapuy (aka Jay.Keyz) is a Hawaiʻi-born keyboardist, producer, and arranger celebrated as one of the islands’ top musicians. Jay is perhaps best known as the longtime keyboardist for Fiji, bringing decades of experience, feel, and energy helping define modern island reggae.

He began classical piano training at age four and was performing professionally in Waikīkī by thirteen. In 2005, he joined the acclaimed Hawaiʻi reggae band Hot Rain, touring and recording while backing international reggae icons like Junior Reid, Peetah Morgan, and Tanya Stephens.

A seasoned performer and studio powerhouse, his credits span a wide range of artists including Fiji, J Boog, Maxi Priest, Sammy Johnson, Common Kings, Mike Love, Malani Bilyeu of Kalapana, and many others. He is also the co-founder of Soul Kid Records, dedicated to artist development and elevating Hawaiʻi’s music globally.

Now, as the newest member of High Watah, Jay.Keyz brings decades of live experience, elite musicianship, and high-level production insight to the band—adding depth, musical range, and a seasoned creative voice as High Watah continues to evolve its modern island-reggae sound.
