It’s official on May 9, 2026, I graduated from Fayetteville State University 🎓💙

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

If you would’ve told high school me that I would be graduating from FSU, I would’ve laughed in your face. Being from Fayetteville, I always felt like this was my last option. However, it turned into one of the greatest chapters of my life.

FSU started very shaky for me. I had no real sense of belonging and honestly felt out of place. But once I stepped out of my shell, got comfortable, and allowed myself to grow, it became a place that shaped me in ways I didn’t expect. It taught me confidence, discipline, and how to stand in who I am becoming.

I also gained so much more than I ever imagined — lifelong friendships, sisterhood, unforgettable memories, leadership, and a stronger sense of self. I leave here more grounded, more confident, and more sure of my purpose.

What once felt uncertain turned into something I’ll always be grateful for. 🤍💙 by @jay.lah__
