I had planned to style my hair on the train, so I packed everything I needed and even pulled out my camera to record.
And then… I got shy. 😭😂
Like, why was I suddenly too shy to actually start doing my hair? I was literally sitting there thinking, “Oh my God, how do I start?” And to make matters worse, I was seated right at the front of the coach. 😭

Although I’ve been creating content for a little over five years now, but I still have moments like this. Especially when it comes to filming outdoors or in public. Sometimes I’m completely fine, and other times I suddenly become hyper-aware of everyone around me and have to convince myself to just start.

But did I eventually get over myself and style my hair, or did I let my anxiety win? 😂 by @jay_anoka

Length retention is really about what you do with the hair you’ve already grown.
Sometimes it’s not that your hair isn’t growing, you just need to get better at keeping the length.
For me, the biggest game-changers are being gentle with my hair, keeping it moisturised, reducing unnecessary manipulation and being more intentional about the styles I choose.

Some hairstyles just hit different.
These are some hairstyles I keep going back to whenever I want to feel extra good about my hair (and maybe collect a few compliments along the way).
And this should also serve as a gentle reminder that natural hair could be anything but definitely not boring.
