⬅️ THE PAUSE FOR THE APPLAUSE ! 👏🏽

LADIES AND GENTS, LAST NIGHT WAS TRULY AMAZING! It was undeniably a HISTORIC night for comedy in our beautiful city of BIRMINGHAM!

The night felt like nothing short of a Royal Variety performance, owing to the different styles of comedy that were brought to the stage!

The calibre of the comedians that took part was awe inspiring! I can't imagine a line up such as this being seen ANYWHERE anytime soon!

Such incredible talent assembled to honour the memory of a true legend and trailblazer, Felix Dexter, and believe me when I say, they did it justice! 🙏🏽

I am truly blessed, honoured and humbled to have featured alongside the very BEST in the business - absolute TITANS of British comedy!

Thank you to The Godfather, main man @johnsimmit for such an incredible opportunity!

Thank you to all the beautiful people of BIRMINGHAM for showing your love and supporting the show! Your laughter raised the roof and lit up the night!

Thank you to my amazing family and friends without which this journey would not be possible

HISTORY WAS MADE.

Saturday 12th September 2026 - Wembley Stadium.

The icon, the GOAT, the one and only @diljitdosanjh took 92,000 people on a journey to the stars and back!

As a British Panjabi, it was an honour and a privilege to be a part of such a momentus event.
To stand and be filled with immense pride for our identity and our music.

In such divisive times in this country, with far right politics and protests, and unapologetic prejudice,
Diljit Dosanjh shone as a beacon of hope and prosperity. He showed us exactly how the Arts unite us all under the banner of humanity.

@diljitdosanjh is an artist who has spent nearly two decades perfecting his craft, developing his sound and becoming more refined with each and every success. A path that lead him to the stadium where legends perform.

From The Met Gala to the Jimmy Fallon show, this is an artist that has represent Panjab on a global level.

In Wembley, the words MAIN HOON PANJAB circled the arena and lit up the night sky.
Guided by the man himself, the entire stadium let out the lion's roar of PANJABI AGEH OYE!

By God's love, by God's grace, We are here to represent.

Thank you Diljit Dosanjh for taking our language, our culture, our heritage and our history from here to infinity 🙏🏽

When I saw the headline of a Cambridge Professor accused of plagiarism, I honestly thought - So what? What's the big deal?

But of course, this wasn't just a Professor. The media had to emphasise, repeatedly and relentlessly, that he was a BLACK academic and the 'youngest Black professor ever appointed at Cambridge'.

The media have treated this story as a national scandal.
As if to instigate a public outcry for the sheer audacity of this man's ALLEGED actions.
Why? For what reason? For what purpose?

A British African academic and intellectual, who was also neurodivergent, became a Professor at one of the most prestigious universities in the world.
A notoriously white-washed and classist institution. An institution that has never willingly publicised their faculty of sexual abusers, eugenics advocators, and white academics also accused of plagiarism, who happily hold their positions and their livelihoods.
In these supposed halls of grandeur, this man was judged, gaslighted, and held to a higher standard, as if he had tainted some illusory crown he had been granted.

Somehow, when ethnic minorities excel, elevate or improve themselves and their position, we are stealing from our white counterparts. We are taking up space that is solely reserved for them. Our success must conform and be limited to the expectations of the establishment. Our voices must remain as small as the little tick box on the 'equal opportunities' section of an application.
A reminder that, when you break the glass ceiling, expect to get cut.

The British Media itself - it's language and biased rhetoric, when it refers to minorities, is a severe PROBLEM that nobody wants to address or resolve. As I have said before, classing people as
the 'other',
as alien,
as a foreign entity that does not belong,
is exactly what continues to spawn the prejudice we see EACH AND EVERY DAY.

In the face of such tragedy, we must remain strong. We must demand justice. We must continue the fight for equality.

I pray for the soul that has left us too soon. May he be granted eternal peace. May his name never be forgotten.

I honestly find it very difficult to understand why mainstream news has barely covered the death of an innocent woman, murdered in her own home, in her own bed, next to her baby and her husband.

Is this heinous, despicable and deplorable crime too inconvenient to report?

Is there not enough time on the schedule amongst the reporting of the circus that is national and international politics?

Are we too busy giving air time to clowns and bigots and their non-factual diatribes
that justify a message of how the nation is (somehow) loosing it's identity?

Or is the life of a 24 year old, Punjabi Sikh woman just not worth the public's attention?

People need to know the truth so they can see the result of what happens when people with a platform propagate an ideology that alienates minorities and uses them as political and economic scapegoats.
By de-humanising and classing people as the 'other', permission is given to those fuelled by hate and prejudice to commit unspeakable acts.

I say again to all who will listen -

Do not buy into false ideology.
Do not be seduced by sycophantic rhetoric.
Do not be conned by the politics of popularity.
Do not pay attention to those who capitalise on controversy.

Learn REAL history and LISTEN to lived experiences.
The light of knowledge must be allowed to shine to eradicate this darkness.

HATE CRIME MUST END.
