Today marks five years since you passed away mom. Not a day goes by without me thinking about you standing by my side. All the years you’ve nurtured me, taught me stand up for myself when I was being bullied and made sure that my homework was done every night I came home from school. I miss all the traveling, dancing, watching movies and cracking jokes with each other. I also miss you sitting outside our apartment building talking to your friends or our neighbors. Just went through some old pictures of you and some of your friends from back in the day. You and Cheryl were the best of friends and I looked up to her like an auntie. I miss her as well. I know that you’re in a better place now. I will cherish all the memories I’ve had with you moving forward. Had the pleasure to attend this amazing event called the Biggest Fun Ever hosted by my friend Jenny at the West End House Boys & Girls Club and it was phenomenal. This took place back on Aug 14 (late post). There were food and a basketball game inside the gym. The place brought a lot of memories for me bc I was a club member when I was younger. It’s where I grew up, made a lot of friends and played basketball with the guys. Also I played in BNBL (Boston Neighborhood Basketball League) back in the day with some of the guys in the club. This is where everything started for me. The club helped me out in a lot of ways, how to become a leader and be that lead person. Had a great time at Maino Day in Brooklyn NY this past weekend. There were a lot of performances on stage from local talent groups to young kids showing their dancing skills on stage. There were also free food at the Jamaican food truck and plenty of frozen treats for everyone. The day turned out very nice and positive vibes all around the stage. It was nice to see Drewski @sodrewski for the first time in 11 years since we last cross paths at Circle of Sisters. This day was one for the ages. It was nice to see everybody having a great time. Had the pleasure to represent team Massachusetts at the Special Olympics USA Games with my basketball team in Minneapolis Minnesota back in June 22-29 (late post). It was my first time playing there and it was an amazing experience. I’ve got to see the Mall Of America for the first time, went on some rides and enjoyed the scenery. During the basketball tournament, we came in fourth place. It wasn’t what we expected but we gave it our best. We had plenty of fun meeting new people and learning new things everyday. It was great seeing different teams from all over the U.S. competing for gold. It was great returning from where I competed 12 years ago when we came one point shy of winning the gold medal. It was nice meeting Victoria Arden from ESPN and Marcus Jones from the New England Patriots at the closing ceremonies. Had the pleasure to attend the dopest summer barbecue/event ever that was hosted by the voice of NYC Angie Martinez last Sunday (Aug 2). Lots of performers were on stage putting on a show such as Remy Ma, French Montana, Zeddy Will, Coi Leray and Buju Banton. Lots of contests and prizes were up for grabs as well. There were lots of delicious food and positive vibes all around the venue. It was very nice and the crowd was jamming into some old school music before the celebrity performances came on stage. Had a great time at the Puerto Rican Festival enjoying some delicious food and spending some time with my guys Big June and Greg @gmoney1974232 . Had the honor and privilege to attend my best friend Ryan’s wedding party this past weekend (7/18/26). Met his whole family and had a great time. Also sent my best wishes to the new married couple. Me and Ryan’s friendship goes back 30 years. We knew each other for a very long time. It was nice to see him finally happy. This is #51.

Last year when I turned 50, it was a major milestone for me. Looking back over the past years, I’ve been building and working to be a better version of myself every day despite the loss of my mother and having the support of my family and friends around me. It’s also a sign of getting older and wiser as I take this next step moving forward.
