It’s official! New Docuseries complete. Yesterday, the final four episodes of the 8 part Docuseries, “5-Star” were released. For 12 weeks I worked along side some of the most dedicated, passionate, and collaborative storytellers. I can’t fail to mention the humility and selflessness of the team of editors as well. This project was cut on Avid Media Composer, an editing software I hadn’t even looked at since about 2008. (Stretch 🥴) It definitely took me out of my comfort zone but it was an opportunity to be a part of something that brought together two worlds I was both familiar with and passionate about (College Football and editing). So I downloaded Avid’s free trial version and got busy. For the weeks leading up to my start date I spent as much time as I could getting familiar with it. I mapped out my keyboard and set up a profile with settings to help me be as efficient as possible. Thankfully, when I was met with a challenge I couldn’t quickly solve, there were some secure and humble teammates willing to take the time to answer my questions. One of the things I love about Avid is when you’re done for the day you don’t “quit” your project like you would in Premiere. Instead, you “leave” it. My next project is on Premiere but hopefully it’s not too long before I get to return to Avid. 🫡 You can watch the full 5-Star series now on Paramount Plus. by @jay_morales

This is one of those projects that I never feel like I have the time to put together, but always feel a deep sense of gratitude once I begin. It’s a great way to reflect on some of the work I’ve created, the challenges overcome, and the amazing people I’ve been blessed to collaborate with. Good Lord it’s been fun! Here’s to whatever 2024 has to offer. Jesus, take the wheel. by @jay_morales

A while back my phone got water damaged and I lost many memorable moments that I didn’t have backed up anywhere. Moments with my wife, my boys, friends and family that I’ll never get to relive. Milestones, and glimpses of time… gone. That experience made me want to print more photos, make albums, and even photo walls so we can reflect on them and hold them in our hands. So when I’m hired to capture milestone moments for my clients I also like to create and deliver something tangible. Memories made to hold. by @jay_morales

I believe photos should be experienced beyond the social media post that gets buried in your feed and quickly forgotten. These are a great way to remember and reflect on moments from each season. I turned these photos into custom posters. Each poster is a 1 of 1, uniquely designed and carefully printed on professional grade photo lab paper. Memories made to hold. Great as a gift too 😉 #madebyhumans by @jay_morales
