Happy 12th Birthday to our amazing son, Zion — AKA Flash, AKA the Baby-Faced Assassin, AKA The Kid Zion!

Your mother and I couldn’t be prouder of the young man you have become. You are confident yet humble, intelligent without being self-absorbed, a proactive thinker who is thoughtful and considerate, a hard worker without self-pity, and selfless and courageous whenever the going gets tough.

You are a tremendous asset to your family, friends, and community. A scholar-athlete who consistently delivers high-quality results both on and off the field, you continue to make us proud every day.

Son, at the tender age of twelve, your journey has only just begun. Please know that your family will always be here to support you, care for you physically and emotionally, and love you unconditionally for all the days of your life.

We love you, son.

Cheers to your new age and all the wonderful opportunities ahead.
Happy Birthday!! 🎉🎂🥳🎈🎊 by @jay_ref

It’s a wrap for the 2025/2026 season.

A season of immense growth and success for Zion and his teammates has come to an end with a quarterfinal exit at the MLS NEXT Cup in Salt Lake City, Utah.

On a personal note, the kid is grateful beyond measure for the opportunity to compete against some of the very best talent in the Mid-Atlantic region, as well as on the national stage in Arizona, where the team was crowned U13 MLS NEXT Fest Champions.

Now it’s time to reset, regroup, and get back to work, as the march toward next season is already underway.
Needless to say, the kid is excited, motivated, and looking forward to what’s ahead.
