Today’s loan tip focuses on credit cards.
A credit card is a revolving credit facility because the customer can draw, repay, and redraw funds up to the approved credit limit.

Here’s why it’s called a revolving credit:
. Revolving: You are given a credit limit, such as $5,000. You can borrow, repay, and borrow again without applying for a new loan each time.
. Flexible repayments: You generally have a minimum payment due each month, rather than a fixed installment.
. Interest: Interest is charged on any balance that remains unpaid, depending on the card’s terms.
. Available credit replenishes: If you have a $5,000 limit and use $1,000, you have $4,000 available. Once you repay the $1,000, that credit becomes available again.

Difference from a traditional loan: A personal or auto loan is usually installment credit…. you receive a fixed amount upfront and repay it over a predetermined period with scheduled payments.
