POSTS STORIES REELS
In the past week I've been featured on the #NYTimes, #CNN, the #BBC, and I'll be on #WDIV this Sunday. It's been a good press run and I'm grateful to be in this position. This was, by far, the biggest platform I've had being featured as a correspondent on #LauraCoates show on CNN. by @jayallen6
Actor, writer, director, producer, comedian. Multi-hyphenate entertainer @marlonwayans was in #Detroit today with the African American Male Wellness Agency (@aawellnessagency ) for the #RealMenRealTalk Health Summit. Marlon spoke with Michigan Chronicle Executive Editor @jayallen6 about the role faith and family have played in his life. by @jayallen6
We have to do better. Last night at the #ChrisBrown and #Usher concert in #Detroit, a security guard was attacked by multiple women after she confronted them about being in the wrong seats. All this happened two rows directly in front of me. It was totally uncalled for. The concert was great before and after this moment, but it was definitely a bad look. And ironically, it was during this song where the lyrics literally say "it's never the right time." by @jayallen6
The @Cavs brought 25 bus loads of #Cleveland fans to #Detroit, and the Cavs beat the @detroitpistons 125-94 in Game 7 of the #NBAPlayoffs during the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Perhaps no Cleveland fan was happier than @cocojones, the fiancé of Cavs star guard @spidadmitchell. Mitchell had 26 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds in the win, and longtime Pistons arena announcer @masonradio313 had some kind words for him as he left the court. Meanwhile, Coco was ready to go congratulate her man! by @jayallen6
The #GWOAT has spoken! Following her unanimous decision win over @thehhdiva, @claressashields said she was able to block out all the noise and distractions leading up to the fight in front of over 17,000 attendees at @littlecaesarsarena in #Detroit. "#Boxing is the only thing I've ever loved that gave me the same type of love back," Shields said. "Boxing is what I was chosen to do. God chose me to do this." #womensboxing #Detroit by @jayallen6
Comedian and actor @michaelblackson was amazed by the show @claressashields put on in her unanimous decision title fight win against @thehhdiva in Detroit tonight. He said it was his first time attending a women's boxing match and it was so much more exciting than any men's fight he's seen. #womensboxing #Detroit #GWOAT #boxing by @jayallen6
Michigan Chronicle Executive Editor @jayallen6 sat down with #Grammy-nominated artist @bigsean and @bgcgreaterdetroit president @shawnhwilson6 to discuss the opening of the new Boys & Girls Club at @michigancentraldetroit. The interview took place inside the club's new studio, which was made possible by a combined $1 million donation from Big Sean and fellow artist @usher, both of whom are B&G Club alums. #Detroit #boysandgirlsclub #philanthropy #michigancentralstation by @jayallen6
I've made some recent appearances on local news leading up to the public swear-in of #Detroit's new mayor #MarySheffield. (See the last slide.) More appearances to come in the near future. by @jayallen6
Happy birthday to my baby girl -- finally a teenager! My first girl. My little sunshine. My darling. As beautiful as she is smart, and as kind as she is sassy, she'll always be my baby. And thank you to my lady for knowing her well enough to pick out the perfect gift to put this smile on her face. 🥰❤️ by @jayallen6
That day/evening switch-up can be real as a #journalist in #Detroit, so I tend to ride around with an outfit in the trunk that will allow me the opportunity to slip out of one thing and into another pretty seamlessly. #OOTD #EastsideGolf #journo #journolife by @jayallen6
Take in new views. Take your cues from nature and change like the seasons do. Take deeper breaths. Take more chances. Take your time. But don't take it for granted. #BucketList #HotAirBalloon #Fall by @jayallen6
