Crazy how at times we get misguided in life. Today I got some news about one of my babies that shook me deep. And it brought me back to what really my purpose is in life. Plain and simple it’s to be a good dad and give my kids a better life than I had. It’s why I started a business in the first place. Everything else is secondary to my kids and at times I forget that. Happy Thanksgiving. Here’s an Egg Nog recipe for you. Been playing with this recipe for over 15 years. I’m confident you’ll like it. This clearly isn’t content that’s professionally put together, or even a step by step guide 😅, but given the day that’s in it, I figured I’d share my recipe below incase you might wana make it today. Ingredients
• 12 large egg yolks
• 1 cup granulated sugar (240ml)
• 2 cups heavy whipping cream (480ml)
• 4 cups milk (960ml)
• 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg and also 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
• pinch of sea salt
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• ground nutmeg for topping
• good quality whiskey. Bourbon works well, but if you have The Donn or The Taoscan, it’s a whole other level of velvet.

Instructions
• Whisk egg yolks and sugar in a medium bowl until light and creamy.
• In a saucepan over medium high heat, heat cream, milk, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt until it reaches a bare simmer, stirring often.
• (this is where my video begins 😂) Add a large spoonful of the hot milk to the egg mixture, whisking quickly to temper the eggs. Repeat one spoonful at a time.
• When most of the hot milk is incorporated, pour the mixture back into the saucepan.
• Whisk constantly on heat for about one minute until slightly thickened.
• Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and the whiskey. It will thicken more as it cools. Then refrigerate or drink warm or with ice. Try it and tell me what you think. #eggnog #thanksgiving taken in The Cotswolds by @jaybradley

What a trip. It’s rare I take more than a week or two off, but 3 weeks in Thailand with the best crew became one to remember. It was just one of those times when you need to get away. Slipping 3 discs in my spine Dec 26th and couldn’t walk for 3 days. A good friend passing away Dec 21st and the usual stress of 2024. Needed a good reset, so booked a flight Jan 1st and went. Easily in my top 5 all time trips. This clip is more day time stuff. I’ll post another with the nightlife in a couple days. Big thanks to all those who made it one to remember. What an emotional day it’s been. You’re now 23. Happy birthday my brilliant beautiful angel @paris.bradley You’re the age I was when I first met you and made the best decision in my life and adopted you as my own child. Without you, your brothers and sister wouldn’t even exist. Hard to put into words or type what it’s like to see a little 2 year old girl going through cancer, and I’m just a 23 year old kid. But going all in and marrying your mum @tjjrichards and making our family was the best thing I’ve done in my life. Being your dad is what I’m proud of most in life. Love you with all my heart and more proud of who you’ve grow up as, than you’ll ever know. by @jaybradley

Having personal success in life is amazing, it’s what we all strive for. But seeing success happen to your child is 100x better. Especially knowing what she went through in life. Paris had cancer as a baby. She was diagnosed at just 5 months old and didn’t go into remission till she was 5 years old. Chemo every other week, 100’s of hospital visits. Walking difficulties because of the chemo causing her little body to have a stroke and then getting mild cerebral palsy from the stroke. Bullied in school because of how she walked, to now making a success of her self BY HERSELF in what is honestly the hardest job I can think of. Commission only face to face sales. If you don’t sell you basically stood on your feet for 8-10 hours all day for no pay whatsoever. Now she’s stayed strong and battled through and got promoted to leader. I couldn’t be happier for her 🥹🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼. And none of this wouldn’t be possible without her mother. My ex wife and still one of my best mates on earth. Comment below if you want the exact recipe. There is gin in it too, just hidden from camera. Before making whiskey I was behind a bar making cocktails and in the kitchen cooking food for years. Helped develop my palate to creating balanced flavours. I haven’t been to @bohalondon for a while but was great to get in while back and see the team. Chef Alberto has created some amazing new dishes, we have a more approachable wine menu but kept some standouts for a special occasion. Was a good night all round with the lads @chefroyner @ian_craftwhiskey @adambrennan18 @jamiejsn_ @mekkamusicofficial . The Mezcal negroni came about impromptu. Our bartender was trying to make one for the new menu but was using truffle gin. Wasn’t working. So I gave it a go. I think you’ll like it. If you want more bitter just turn up the Campari more, but as it is, it’s perfectly balanced. All flavours hit at the right time across the palate. If you want the recipe, just comment below and I’ll share it with you. And this is a Mezcal negroni using 4 ingredients. So before anyone tells me they prefer a standard negroni. Oct 8th 2019. The day my best mate, father, mentor and all round absolute legend passed on. 5 years today. Woke up this morning and actually forgot about it. Got busy from the moment I woke putting out the daily fires of running the group of companies. When it dawned on me that I forgot, it tore me up. Been a shitty day anyway dealing with the stresses of the company, but slams you harder when it’s this day in particular. Makes you think though. You go through life giving your all for everyone around you. And when you’re gone you’re pretty much forgotten from day to day life. It’s only been 5 years and I haven’t had a single call from a friend or family today. And I can’t blame them. I forgot too this morning. But brings me back to the part about when your gone, your gone. People worry so much about what people think, we work our arses off for everyone around us. And then we pass on and we’re yesterday’s newspaper. While this thought will never stop me working my ass off for my family. It does make me realise I need to live in the moment more. Spend the time I can with the people who are important to me while I’m here. Enjoy the fruits of my labour with them. And try to set them up for as long as possible and leave a positive legacy like my dad did with us. And to you Pops, I know you can’t read this, but I think about you pretty much daily. So I’m gutted I forgot this morning. Too caught up in work, stress and my own bulshit. So this post will be part of ensuring your not forgotten. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️ love yah forever. by @jaybradley
