Korby appreciation post:
Korby where do I even begin… I guess I’ll start with today as I watched you officially retire your blue jacket as the State Sentinel. You served your state with pride and showed us what it means to be human.
I forget sometimes how lucky I truly am to get to spend so much time with you. “You are my twin” is no exaggeration; sometimes it scares me how alike we are when we can read each other’s mind from across a room, finish each other’s sentences, and know when the other wants to go to Dutch. I truly could not imagine my life without you Korby, and could never go through the rest of this life without you by my side. You’ve continuously been my rock, shoulder to cry on, someone to count on when life gets tough, impulse trip buddy, the yin to my yang, “other half, and forever my big brother that I never had. Words cannot describe how grateful I am everyday that we crossed paths because someone knew we needed each other in order to get through our struggles during this life. I cannot wait to see where life takes us, because I know we’ll be right by each other’s side…probably drinking Dutch and running our corn hole club.

I guess this is where I’m supposed to say something basic like “On to the next chapter” or “We made it.” All I gotta say is I couldn’t have made it without these great people. Thanks for the most amazing 14 years. Couldn’t have asked for a better Senior Year. Love you guys ❤️

Freshman me would be shocked to hear that I wrote the end to my last day as chapter VP: SA last night. I will be infinitely grateful for my mentors who encouraged me to fill out my first Officer application. Thank you to each and every person I met along the way for the incredible memories and relationships. Every jacket has a story, and I’m not finished writing mine just yet. by @jaycee._.f
