a closer look into my FULL METAL SEAT

i wanted to make a rotating chair that felt as light as possible, visually and physically

so i kept removing, simplifying, reducing
until there was almost nothing left

the central pivot lets the body orient itself freely without interrupting the form

the metal stays raw
industrial, direct, unapologetic

just enough to hold the body
and nothing more

my first quadrimester school project

it all started with an idea, that slowly shifted into something else as i worked on it

this project taught me not to be too attached to the initial vision, and to keep iterating as things become clearer in the process

working with metal was physically and mentally demanding, but it really forced me to understand the material beyond drawings, and i'm truly grateful for the experience

i'm still learning, still figuring things out — but this is the first object i can truly say i designed
