on november 25th 2024, my life changed forever, nothing could prepare for what had happen.my father layed to rest with jesus. never in a million years did i think i would be sitting here at the age of 17 typing this out. my dad was the most hard working, loving, loyal REAL man i’ve ever met he was the definition of how a man should treat his family and the people he surrounded himself with. knowing he won’t physically be here for the rest of our milestones breaks my heart. my dad taught me everything i know and i thank you him for that. though it feels like this right now i know we will overcome this because of how he raised and treated us he didn’t make us strong for nothing. Thank you Gates Chili Cheerleading 🎀🎀💗

this moment is something that i’ve been dreading forever, words cannot describe what it feels like to have everything come to an end. cheerleading isn’t just a sport for me its my home, safe space, its everything. for the past 11 years i have put blood, sweat & tears on the mat, it has bought me so many memories and friendships that i will cherish for the rest of my life. the past 7 seasons in the gates chili program has shaped me into the person i am, with each season allowing me to grow and learn something new not only about myself but my teammates and coaches. my time on gcvc is something i will never forget, the journey i have had is one of a kind from, first places to last places, the eddie meath game experience, first round all county, making school HISTORY at the NY State Competitive Championship and winning the Monroe County Division 2 Championship, i couldn’t ask for a better experience. thank you Brittany for making me grow confidence as each season went by. I would also like to thank my parents for supporting and pushing me no matter what, never missing a competition ( expect sectionals sophomore year MOTHER😂😂) i thank you guys for loving my passion just as much as i do, you two are the ultimate cheer parents and i will forever be grateful for that. yes the road has been hard with a tragic loss, cheerleading has really become my motivation and distraction to everything happening around me. As i close this chapter of my life i would like to appreciate every teammate i’ve ever stepped on the mat with, the feeling of hitting a routine with the girls that you love is a one of a kind from competition rituals, running out last on the mat with my best friend, getting pinned at comps, decorating our cheer bags with ribbons, pins and keychains and having the time of our lives dancing and singing at awards i am going to miss it all so deeply. these moments are irreplaceable and something that i will talk about for the rest of my life. starting off as a jr.spartan to a varsity cheerleader is an extraordinary feeling, with that being said thank you god for this beautiful sport & life.
