1.5 years ago I sat here at The Harbor House Cafe and had a meeting with my family to discuss a lifestyle brand I just created, SoCal Angels. I always loved being a part of the surfing and skateboarding culture so I wanted to show everyone around me the lifestyle I grew up in but without the glorification of drugs and alcohol. I wanted it to be about having fun but the cleaner version. I asked my brother and sisters for their opinion because I wanted the clothing brand to be family friendly. Their perspective helped me guide my business in the right direction so I always lean on them for advice. Since our first sibling meeting my business has grown into something bigger. I tried to recreate a fuel tv / Xgames kind of vibe by interviewing people at skateboarding and surfing events, then speedway, then musicians Lol I just wanted to tap into everything I thought was fun and positive. I always keep my family in mind making sure it is something they could enjoy watching or doing with theirs kids. SoCal Angels is a lifestyle brand for the whole family but it has also grown into a printing business. I design and print custom clothes for business owners, events, or parties. Turning 35 has been making me think too much about where I’m at in life and where I want to b. It makes think about improving myself in many ways... I want to eat healthier, work out, maintain my patience, drink less, not b so quick to anger, and more. I’m Disappointed that I haven’t reached certain goals; however, I am happy I made this dream come true today on my bday, visiting the Galápagos Islands 🐢 🦈 Yet there is a part of me that knows I can b better, do better, and do more…..
