Barber Burn out is a real thing - all day we’re around different people, different conversations standing all day can take a toll on our energy and on our bodies. along with meeting peoples expectations, when it comes to working on their hair.

What systems are useful to help with burnout?

Taking Breaks- barbering is a lot of talking to people, maintaining a positive attitude and having the capacity to actively listen and that takes a toll so make sure to take breaks. Stretch, walk, eat.

Creating A Consistent Clientele - having a clientele takes the stress away of having unpredictable weeks. And let your clients know your availability & adjust pricing to meet the amount of work you’re putting in.

BALANCE- there’s life outside of work. An entire identity outside of barbering and it’s healthy to lean into other passions, hobbies, relationships that take us out of work mode. Self care is important. Wearing correct shoes, strength training to keep the body strong and not skipping lunch are all part of self care. Nothing fancy

Reignite Creativity - feeling uninspired or losing the passion ? Learn a new style that’s trending or that you’d want to cut more of. Take an educational class , learn how to perm or color or simply reinvent one thing in your business.
The people that can pace themselves are the ones that do Barbering long term.
