I’ve got some new stickers and 1 new print. I know it’s not a lot considering I haven’t tabled since last October. It’s been very busy past couple of months and past year doing other things outside making merch like animating, life stuff getting in the way and the sort.

I was meaning to refresh my whole table before evolve but that never happened. I made that one of my goals for the year. But the year isn’t over yet tho 🤔

Also, I want to say for clarity’s sake, that I decided to raise the prices of my prints and stickers. This was a rough thing to do. Because when I initially I set up my pricing for my first con last year. I wanted to make my prints cheap so more people can afford them. Especially in this economy.

But I feel like going forward, for the amount of time it goes into creating the designs for each print and going through all the efforts to organise printing them. Because some of these print designs can take tens of hours to make. I needed to raise the price for how much labour/work I’m putting into them on the end of things.

I tried to make the new prices not too egregious. I also don’t want to put them up again because I want to move through a lot of the old stock as soon as I can. So I can work out what stuff people like more and have room for new prints, stickers and charms I want to try making.

Because there’s a ton of print, sticker, charm and misc ideas I want to do. I want to MCR Danger Days while 15th anniversary is still ongoing and then make a new Metroid thing for Ravenous coming out soon. I also need to make more animations so I can put them on DVD or Bluray or VHS Tape. That’s the dream.

Glad to be tabling again. One of the best things I’ve ever done. See you at Evolve.

my everythings from #artfight2026

All my attacks I made & all the defenses I’ve received this year. :)

this event is fun, it gives me an excuse to draw other people‘s characters. Which I should do more in general but it’s more fun when you make it a big event & gamify it.

I joined team mystery, because I am mysterious like that.

I’m happy with my output this year :) I had a goal set to at least do more attacks than last year. Which wasn’t exactly a hard goal, I only did two attacks last year. But I’m happy with the final number of 6 attacks. I’m surprised I managed making those attacks despite being busy during the first week & the last weekend of July. I still wanted to do more attacks. I had more ideas for attacks planned, but that’s going to have to wait until next year.

The last attack I did was done in last two hours before the event ended. Really squeezing it in there before the end.

Also, I was surprised that I got 6 defenses. I would’ve been happy with 1 like last year but 6 is crazy. & Most of them being JD which I was surprised by. (Ik he’s my main guy, i’m surprised by the fact that anyone would draw my funny guys) I was expecting each defense to just be JD, Zoah, JD, Zoah. I was expecting them to be in a pattern. But the last two ended up being JD. So he wins out. …this time…

This was my second time doing art fight and I’m happy I managed to participate in the 10th anniversary event. With 3 teams this time instead of 2. Kinda like a splatfest from the Splatoon 3. Which is a fun change up & also to take into account the large amount of people participating this event got this year.

I had fun with this event and I’ll do it again next year if I’ve got free time again. It’s awesome to find time to draw people’s characters and thanks to those who took the time to draw mine :)

IDK if it’s too late to write up a blurb about @tokyoalleyperth. Especially since its 10th anniversary event just finished up last week. But I don’t care, I’m gonna glaze & say I had fun with this event.

I remember going to the 2024 event with one of my friends from high school, & just look around at how packed it was. It wasn’t the first convention that I’ve been to, but it was definitely the first where I actually considered maybe I should start tabling as an artist. Looking more into the event and everyone that contributes to its insane to find how much of it is community driven.

One aspect I really love about Tokyo Alley is just how many opportunities it allows for local artists to be involved with.

I did apply for this event that’s gone past, both to table & for a piece in the zine. I thought maybe I’d have a better chance since I got into Tokyo Market last year. I unfortunately got waitlisted & didn’t get into the zine. But that’s fine, because there was other ways to collaborate that the TA crew organised so that any artist in the community can have their little opportunity to contribute.

Since I wasn’t able to table or contribute to the zine, there was also the yearbook which allowed you to submit an OC or Touko sona (fan art/your interpretation of their mascot.) I made my Touko sona into a dimension hopper like my OCs.

I also made OC cards which were fun to make & trade as well. I wish I had the time to make new artwork for these. it’s kind of surreal having an aspect to the con like this. It’s the little guy that I made. They’re on a card. Then I can trade them with other people with their little guys on their cards. I feel like it gives artists’ characters are much more significance because it’s like having official merch of them kinda.

Also if your an artist with more cards, Hit me up. Because I genuinely want to collect more of these.

I wish I could say more but IG has a word limit which makes me want to explode. I just wanted to lump my experience with the event this with the art and submissions that I did so it’s all in one place. Ann Takamaki Persona 5

This is the most amount of time I’ve spent on a piece of fan art (62 hours) and my wrist really feels that. I think this piece took longer because I was rendering more than one character this time.

But it came out awesome though & I had a lot of fun adding a lot of extra details. Like a little Morgana and Shiho. I’ll try and be quicker next time but no promises.

The piece also has a distinct pink magenta background being a collage of striped stars and other symbols that appear from the Persona 5 game, like flames, love hearts, and symbols that are very specific to Ann. I saw @higana.suzu (cool and awesome persona cosplayer :)) post a cool makoto cosplay fit and my art brain went brr for two weeks and it came out like this.

So we’ve made it through another year. It freaks me out that we are going into 2026. To me 2025 already sounded like a futuristic year to me. So 2026 sounds like we’re beyond the abyss or something.
I wouldn’t say 2025 was my best year, personally. I feel like I haven’t been as creatively productive as I wanted to be. Not to mention all the ongoing world issues, conflicts & social media trying to drag me down into its self-loathing pit of nihilism.
I hope I don’t come off as too self-aggrandising, sappy & cringe. But, I’m at least glad that I do have a positive aspect from this year I can look back on. I’m glad I started tabling this year. It’s such a small thing, but it was a strange self-confidence boost. It was so cool having people come up to my table & being so supportive of my artwork. I also love how my artwork started sparking conversations with people and we just talked about Evangelion or Scott Pilgrim or Lego Mixels. Just whatever people found cool. We could just yap forever and it was awesome.
& from tabling and as well as putting myself in more art/creative spaces, I’ve been so lucky to meet so many new people this year. So many new friends and mutuals (that I randomly DM from time to time, hope I’m not too annoying. Hi :) thanks for letting me be your friend this year to the friends reading this. :) & also thanks to you for following me this year & just liking what I make.

While I haven’t been as productive this year, 2025 was my “hype myself up” year. I want 2026 to be my big creative output year.

I want to put out more art.
Get back into animating & making YouTube videos again.
I wanna watch more movies, play more games, listen to more music, read more books 🤓
Develop my music skills a bit more (I haven’t practice my drums & keyboard in a bit, mainly because of dreaded repetitive strains & tinnitus. I’ll try & get round it.)
I want to do more cosplay stuff too.

Thank you for making something positive out of my 2025, & I hope there’s something positive that you can look back on with yours. Because I can understand it has been shit for a lot of people, but despite everything, we carry on. by @jaydee3779

This is SUPER last minute (being me posting this)

Most of it is the same as my previous cons, but I’ve got that Kid Icarus print ready to go for today. At least I got one new thing for today.
