Have you checked out @jaydeepitcaithly exhibition ‘Chain of Command’ currently showing @qvwc_melbourne 🚲 💐 🖼️

Chain of Command is an exhibition celebrating the strength and resilience of female cyclists. A passion project by local artist and bike enthusiast Jay-Dee Pitcaithly, combining her deep love of cycling, photography and painting.
What started as a creative project quickly became something much bigger, a celebration of the people, experiences and communities that make cycling so special. This exhibition is a reflection of the women who continue to break barriers, build community and show up for themselves and others every day.

Art prints of Jay Dee’s original paintings are available for purchase at @qvwc_shop taken in QVWC SHOP by @jaydeepitcaithly

Panel update! Unfortunately, April Drage can no longer join us, but we’re excited to welcome Daniela Mollica instead! 🚴‍♀️ A competitive road and gravel cyclist, Daniela has competed in three UCI Gravel World Championships with the Pana Organic Pedla Team, and is a ride leader for the Bicycle Network Peaks Challenge, and cycling advocate powerhouse! Daniela joins panel moderator @bridie_od & fellow panelist @mickles.pickle 🚴‍♀️ RSVP via my link in bio!

🔧 PLUS, Soft Jaws will be offering FREE bike safety checks from 5-6pm and 7-7:30pm. Bring your bike along and chat with qualified mechanic Bridget Chappell from one of Naarm’s few femme-run bike workshops.

🚲 Ride in! Free event bike parking will be available, and the venue is easily accessible by public transport.

Cheers to @runnerup.rooftop & @therocketsurgeon.com.au for sponsoring this panel

Bike parking - The QVWC Team are offering special event bike-parking at the Centre! A member of the team will be near the QV rear entrance (ramp access from Lonsdale to the left of building) to direct you. If you’re running late and miss the crew, you can lock your bike inside QVWC’s cast iron fencing at the front-facing Lonsdale Street entrance (just don’t block the stairs or access). taken in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia by @jaydeepitcaithly

ℭ𝔥𝔞𝔦𝔫 𝔬𝔣 ℭ𝔬𝔪𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔡 collection is live! This collection is very near to my heart. The freedom and confidence that cycling has brought into my life is immeasurable. There truly is no better feeling than being on two wheels, soaking up the views and exploring places you would never get to experience in a car 🚴‍♀️⛓️ taken in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia by @jaydeepitcaithly

Absolutely stoked to announce 𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓲𝓷 𝓸𝓯 𝓒𝓸𝓶𝓶𝓪𝓷𝓭 an exhibition celebrating the strength and resilience of females cyclists 🚲 This has been a passion project of mine, 6 months in the making, combining my deep love of cycling, photography and painting.

Along this journey, I’ve had the privilege of meeting some truly incredible and inspiring women. Through documenting their portraits and stories, I’ve been reminded time and time again of the grit, determination, vulnerability and power that women carry. What started as a creative project quickly became something much bigger, a celebration of the people, experiences and communities that make cycling so special. This exhibition is my way of honouring those stories and the women behind them.

Opening night is 8 Oct (6-8pm) at @qvwc_melbourne with sweet treats from @torte_by_mirjana & drinks by @runnerup.rooftop 🔒 it in! Hope to see you there ❤️

A huge thank you to @therocketsurgeon.com.au and @runnerup.rooftop for also supporting the exhibition and an exciting panel discussion to be announced soon taken in Queen Victoria Women's Centre by @jaydeepitcaithly
