1 year (and a day) of marriage ♥️

Our first reveal was outside a Komeda’s Coffee in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Japan.
We changed into our wedding attire in their restrooms after breakfast.
Two elderly Japanese men were our witnesses, taking pictures of us from the parking lot.
It was a precious moment.
From there we were off to find a bouquet before we shared our vows before God, eachother, and our photographers @libars_tokyo

We love being married; living and creating side by side :)

New Zealand - April, 2025.

The plan was to go to Australia for a week with my wife and her family. Our stays were all booked and I’d even arranged to see my Aussie mate for a day. After a week in Australia we would all enjoy New Zealand for another seven days.

One problem; we didn’t get our visas approved prior to departure and we missed our flight. At the gate, we applied just minutes too late for boarding and two out of three visas got accepted. Mine didn’t. Change of plans.

The women continued with the original route and I headed to New Zealand to wait for them there. I booked four nights in a hostel and wondered what I was going to do. I was disappointed I wouldn’t get to experience Australia with my wife and catch up with my friend but I was also hopeful of my time alone and knew it could be beautiful.

I decided to spend time with my camera, and all but two of these images came from this time. I ended up walking around 50k steps in three days and experienced the freedom of exploring without a direction.

In some of the photos above, I sat in a specific spot for over an hour trying to get everything to a point of satisfaction, while others were a one shot wonder.

our 1979 Dodge B200

to get you up to date:
1. the original exterior of the van 🚙
2. the interior of the van when we bought it 🛋️
3. we gutted the van and did some body work🦿
4. tested the new interior layout using cardboard 🪑
5. applied the new vinyl plank flooring 🎉

and now we are working on the renovation full time until it is completed!

My trip has come to an end and all I can say is "Hallelujah, Praise You Lord." I'm so grateful for all the beautiful people I've met and experiences I've shared over the past year. I can't wait to continue this next chapter of life at home 🇨🇦♥️

In love with the Phillipines ☀️🌴
The Filipino people are some of the most fun, kind, caring people that I've ever met. With 80% of the population being Christian I can truly see the Joy of the Lord in their smiles and waves, regardless of how little some have. They work such long days for so little return, but to me it's a testament of divine love, showing that it doesn't matter how much or little you have in this life. You always have the choice to focus your attention on being greatful for what you have instead of looking for the next thing.
