Giving my life to Jesus has been the hardest yet most rewarding decision I’ve ever made. I grew up in a lukewarm Christian household (we lived a double life) and for a long time, I lived in constant sin—drunkenness, idolatry, anger, lust, and greed. I tried to fill a deep void with everything but God, which only led to anxiety, depression, insecurity, and constant heartbreak. My life felt like it was falling apart, and even though I was surrounded by people, I had never felt more alone.
Everything changed on September 10th, 2025, when my friend Tiana(who I partied with) invited me to Wells of Love. I went, thinking it was just another Wednesday night, but instead I encountered Jesus for the first time in my life. I found myself sobbing on the floor for hours, unable to move under the weight of his presence. That night, when I got home, I felt peace in my room and for the first time in a long time I could finally sleep. After that day I came to the realization that I didn’t want to live my life in sin and sadness. But the journey wasn’t easy—after giving my life to Christ many things happened, me and my family stopped talking, I moved out of my home, and faced hardship after hardship. My life was really falling apart now. I didn’t understand I thought things would get better after giving my life to Christ, but my pastor helped me understand spiritual warfare: the enemy was angry he had lost me…
Once I fully surrendered and changed myself, everything shifted, my family mended and my life, but this time restored with Jesus. I never let anything or anyone bring me down, no matter what happened. My faith became stronger than ever, and fear, depression, and anxiety and even the devil had and has no authority over me—I belong to Jesus. I’ve never been more joyful or fulfilled. My sins are washed, I’ve been made new, and I now live knowing I’m loved, chosen, and a child of the King.
