One week later and we are still carrying the exact same energy that was heaped upon us in the moment by the surrounding culture of Nomads, the rhythm and a dance floor that never stopped moving.
This was more than a classic case of spiritual elevation for us plus there was lots and lots to learn from @magneticfieldsfestival about integrating a heavy real time experience that can really move people. Glad to have been invited to come down with our bag our records and play it out for all the lovely people who came to dance with us, all the people who worked behind the scenes to put so much soul into this experience.
Plus the energy we shared playing back to back was something we shall always have locked inside our heads!
Huge thanks and love to @thewildcity for making all this happen.

It’s the @earthtapes_ Delhi debut party this halloween at @aurodelhi.

@8bitculprit started Earth Tapes out of a need to belong somewhere that didn’t exist yet. A home for deeply personal dance music that was slippery, hard to define, and rooted in feeling rather than function.

Following a massive compilation release featuring homegrown electronic music producers last month, Earth Tapes makes its Delhi debut, bringing together some of the finest acts across the spectrum: @monophonikmusic, @jaydrive_, @iamkaamin, @wadjet_, @sidpraja, @mocidmusic and the label bossman himself, @8bitculprit.

What a debut, Udaipur. Watching the first light of day break over this beautiful setting while playing the sunrise slot was truly something special. One of those moments you wish you could pause and take in a little longer.

Jay Drive is the alter ego of Jaidev Kaushik, a DJ and programmer for Auro and Summerhouse with over a decade behind the decks. His journey spanning roles at Magnetic Fields and Konnekt, along with past residencies has shaped a deep understanding of club culture from the ground up.
Drawing inspiration from DVS1, Raresh and Ricardo Villalobos, his sets move fluidly through minimal, house, trance and techno, delivering immersive groove-led journeys with evolving intensity.

Next up at Konnekt.

@dardisku_records lands in New Delhi. Born in Bahrain, Mazen Almaskati and Vish M have built Dar Disku around deep digging, unexpected selections and a sound shaped by influences from across the Middle East, South Asia and beyond.

On 10 October, they take over the @dirty_good Amphitheatre, joined by Direct Drive, Disko Samosa, DJ Pants, Jay Drive and Neeka.

joined by goa-based @prog.rescue who opens the set💅 at the rooftop from 9:30-10:30 pm followed by @jaydrive_ b2b @iamkaamin, while @idir.dj takes over the reins of the downstairs🍄‍🟫 decks at 10:00 pm followed by @daytape_music till closing.

Artist in residence: SEPTEMBER ~

@neeka.music makes her way to the barsati w a month-long jam🌧 of house, minimal & disco tracks in her backpack for the sept🧚‍♂️ issue of strangr- air prog. spl SO to @jaydrive_ for curating another🌱 chapter for us. here’s a few snips from our conversation w neeka:

strangr: how long have you been DJing?
neeka: i’ve been DJing for 3 years.

strangr: an artist you loved in your teens.
neeka: hmm, can’t really choose one but I’d say the strokes and avenged sevenfold

strangr: an artist you want to grow up to be like?
neeka: oh that’s easy, our beloved jules, julian casablancas.

strangr: do you think the music you listened to in your formative years shaped your perception of this artform?
neeka: oh yes. although I grew up listening mostly to rock, being exposed to different kinds of bands definitely widened my taste and made me more curious about different sounds.

strangr: what can people expect from you, at strangr?
neeka: for strangr, i’ll be bringing in the ecstacy of feel good music.

strangr: which genres do you get most excited to play?
neeka: what i play is rarely bound by genre, you got to come and listen!

strangr: what kind stories are you going to create during your month at strangr?
neeka: i will make people listen to a lot of new music, so a story of banger discoveries i would say.

strangr: what music do you love playing?
neeka: i actually love playing all of it.

strangr: what do you play for love and what do you play for money?
neeka: I’d say, i play all music for love, there's not much money involved right now anyway haha.

strangr: do you have a sound inspiration that reflects in your sets?
neeka: lmao that is going to be a 200 words answer. so i’ll just say, whatever puts you and me in the feels. by @jaydrive_
