We had met Dryden in the first two books of the siren points series. He came across as closed off, and aloof- and he is both those things. But with good reason.

Spencer is homeless, and has his fair share of trauma as well, he is wary of everyone.

Turns out they just needed each other- and to take the long winding road of discovery to figure that out. 💜 by @jayjreads

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 🌶️🌶️

Having read quite a bit of Saxon James’ books, I went in expecting to like this one. I was not expecting to like it this much. Exceeded all expectations.

Jensen, an NHL hockey player gets called back his home town after his highschool girlfriend dies- and he finds out he has a teenage son he never knew about-
Kasen, a 14 year old boy whose mom just died, so he’s about as cuddly as a cactus.

Tai, Jensens estranged best friend still lives in their home town, coaches hockey and takes care of his dad.

Jensen has an offseason to forge a relationship with his son, and fall in love with his best friend.

Such a good one definitely recommend! by @jayjreads

The River is Waiting, by Wally Lamb

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a heavy book, it follows Corby, a dad of twins living the stay at home dad life after being laid off and unable to find work. During this time he develops an addiction to alcohol and benzodiazepines. His addiction leads to a tragedy that also lands him in prison.

We follow his journey through grief, and guilt, and accountability, while navigating life in prison.

This book is a gut punch, numerous gut punches actually. It is heartbreaking, and heavy, and hopeful.

It is not my usual read, I read it for my book club, which for me the whole point of book club is to read books one normally wouldn’t. Im very glad I read this one. It will stick with me for a long time. by @jayjreads

The sweetest story of love and acceptance and the most lovely MC’s you’ll ever meet. 💜 This was a reread.

✨ Allegiant by @coraroseauthor & @larktaylorauthor the fourth book in the Firm series, and definitely my favourite of the bunch (so far!) I love hurt/comfort and acceptance, and this was filled with both. 🥹

✨ Romance Languages, by @ajtruman_author another reread this month, because sometimes you just need to read about two friends who embark on a journey of sexual discovery together, hit a few bumps but fall in love along the way. 🥰 by @jayjreads

September reads.
17 books, 14.5 were audio. 10 were re-reads.

After rereading Sem, I had to go and reread the Our Exception series about all of Maggie’s brothers. By Sarina Bowen.

Hearts we Claim and Nudging Fate were some random audible finds.

I had the privilege of ARC reading Allegiant and I think it’s definitely my favourite of the series.

Finally did Work, strictly professional, by Jesse H Reign- I had put it off because the audio for the first one left a lot to be desired. So did this one. One narrator was absolutely fantastic, the other almost ruined the whole story for me and I had to switch to eye reading to finish. It was much more enjoyable after that.

I’m you guy was a reread because sometimes you just need a sweet hockey romance.

Romance languages was another reread, it’s one of my faves by AJ Truman.

Courageous hearts, by Emmy Sanders- a reread. And just the sweetest story of love and acceptance.

And I started rereading the irresistible omegas series, since I’ll probably start the irresistible dragons series right away since its final book is coming out in October.

Been doing a lot of rereads lately. And a lot of audio.

I really like this, starts as a sweet friendship, theres some hurt/comfort, so found family, and definitely doesn’t skimp on the spice. by @jayjreads

Triple Trouble, by @jesse_h_reign narrated by @liamdicosimo, Ellis Evan’s, and @michael_ferraiuolo_audio

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Double bi-awakening between two best friends and a man they meet at a bar. Matt and Will are life long best friends, who even as adults live together, and *live* together- they do life together, but they’re both straight. Except that they’re not. When Trouble comes along they’re both inexplicably drawn to him- opening the door for them to realize their feelings for each other. And Touble, who has his own set of rules, loves baby bi’s- loves being with two men at once- but has a “no repeats” rule. Except he’s just as drawn to Matt and Will as they are to him.

Just like most Jesse H Reign books, there is some hilarious inner monologues, and the spice is spicing.

I read this as an audiobook, and I loved that it had three narrators! They were all fantastic, fit their characters perfectly! by @jayjreads

Book 2 in the Hockey Guys series.

This was a re-read on audio- I’m not sure how many times I’ve read this, it’s one of my comfort reads. 💜

This started out as a stalker story and ended up as so much more. Sweet, and loving, and a little heartbreaking.
