The Dominican Republic ~ Mission Trip 2026

Looking back at the week that we got to spend in the DR has me reflecting on the true power and omnipresence of the God that we serve. It was so incredible to watch Him work through GO Ministries and these kids. I encourage you to not let yourself put Him in a box as I found myself doing. He is the God whose love stretches as far as the east is from the west. It was truly amazing to watch how He works around the world. Our identity in Christ broke through any language or cultural barriers that may have been present, allowing us to create and nurture relationships that lead us back to the Lord. This trip opened my eyes to the incredibly powerful and amazing God that we serve. He is the same God here as He is in the Dominican. While these kids were just living their lives with the addition of some gringas for a few days, the Lord was present in every interaction. This trip showed me that we serve a big and mighty God who is the God of ALL nations and every moment. He doesn’t just show up in the late night worship sessions and the highly spiritual and emotional moments, but rather He is in every detail of our lives. From the volleyball court, to the streets, and to the classroom, the Lord wants to be and is in every single detail.

Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible. I am beyond grateful that I got to be a part of this experience.

The Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever. How incredible is it that we all get to sit humbly at His feet. by @jayleyfisher34
