5’5” guard Jaylia Reed @jaylia.aa has been a crucial piece of Southern (LA)’s success. A three-point specialist who doesn’t need much time or space to get her shot off, she can also get to her mid-range spots and finish through contact at the rim. This past season, she averaged 8 points per game while shooting 36% from three, helping lead her team to a SWAC Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Prior to Southern, she led Mississippi Valley to its first SWAC Tournament appearance in 12 years while earning SWAC All-Tournament Team honors. She was also recognized as a Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Ring of Honor honoree. by @jaylia.aa
