Fell short of the championship game by a point-differential tiebreaker, but this journey was never just about wins and losses.

Watching these young men compete, grow, and believe in each other reminds me why I coach. The impact goes beyond the scoreboard.

JUST THE BEGINNING. 🏀⏳

First AAU tournament in the books. Came up 2 points short in the championship, but I couldn’t be prouder of MY BOYS! 💙

They fought until the very last second, left everything on that court, and showed what it means to compete as ONE TEAM.

Championships are earned, character is built, and greatness takes TIME. This journey was never just about winning games. It’s about developing young men, building that brotherhood, teaching discipline, and preparing them for something bigger than basketball.

The Lord will grant us victory when the time is right. Until then, we KEEP WORKING. 🙏🏽

Proud of every single one of you. The work doesn’t stop here.

SEPTEMBER 13, 2026. ✝️🤍

I DECIDED TO GIVE MY LIFE TO JESUS CHRIST.

On September 13, I made the most important public declaration of my life. I surrendered my life to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Not because I’m perfect. Not because I have everything figured out. But because I finally understood that I was never meant to walk this journey alone. I didn’t immediately share this moment with the world. Not because I was ashamed of my faith, but because I wanted to protect something sacred. I wanted to take time to strengthen my relationship with God, grow spiritually, and learn what it truly means to walk with Him every single day.
The Bible reminds us in John 10:10 that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came so that we may have life abundantly.
And I’ve come to understand that not everything God is doing in your life needs to be announced immediately. Sometimes, you have to allow Him to work on you privately before you share your testimony publicly.
This baptism wasn’t the finish line. It was the beginning of a lifelong commitment. A commitment to becoming a better man, walking in faith, choosing righteousness, loving others, and allowing God to guide my steps, even when I don’t understand His plans.I know there will be challenges. I know I will make mistakes. But my goal isn’t perfection. My goal is to pursue Jesus Christ and become more like Him each day.
Today, I’m sharing this moment for a purpose greater than myself.
To my community, the younger generation, the young men I mentor, and anyone who may come across this video: Don’t allow this world to convince you that you’re too far gone to find God.
You don’t need to have your entire life figured out to seek Him. You don’t need to wait until you’ve overcome every struggle. Come to Him with an open heart and allow Him to transform your life. Social media has given us a platform to influence thousands of people. But what are we influencing them toward?

If sharing my testimony encourages even ONE person to open their Bible, pray for the first time, return to their faith, or begin building a relationship with Jesus Christ, then this post has served a purpose far greater than any number taken in Renaissance City Church by @jaymarte__

FIRST HOME GAME | FIRST WIN 🏀

This wasn’t just about the scoreboard. It was about a group of young men learning how to fight, stay together, and trust God in every possession.

From the first whistle to the last, they played with heart, discipline, and faith. We talk about leadership, body language, and doing things the right way – today they showed it when it mattered.

I’m proud of these boys, but we’re just getting started. Wins are temporary, character lasts forever.
