Here’re some video clips and pictures of the performance by @yisekai_ at @taikwun.hk in March. Sorry it took a while to publicise them. In short, me and @woonji_i were commissioned to do DJ sets plus live performance at their Artist’s night during the Art Basel week. I was really thrilled and had to produce some music as the debut for yisekai as a group, which now comprised of me, kate and Casey aka @qozello.

I’m really humbled that the show was well received and liked. I have to thank Kate for kicking me into it, Casey for the selfless teaching and doing all the behind the scene stuff, @badencourt for being a beacon of hope when I felt lost, @jilllangel and @shuman._.wang from Tai Kwun for believing in us, @cxuxu for the fantastic photos, Tat and his Sound team for the professional engineering, and all those who came and supported us! Let’s hope we can do it again soon!

Wow wow wow, even though the weather was against us, the music and vibes certainly weren’t during the latest @yee.___hk and @thelisteningroomhk Recovery Sessions as part of the Season 3 Summer Series.

Great DJs bringing the great soul to fill up our ears with great music, on what ended up being one of our favourite sessions to-date.

招呼完 XDB 嘅 Reach 再次返到嚟四樓，今次邀請到首爾嘅 guru @dguru 。

佢所帶嚟嘅旅程穿梭 Disco、 House 同各種唔同嘅獨立跳舞音樂，音樂類型對佢嚟講只係一個整理唱片嘅方法而唔係風格定型。專注喺樂曲鋪排嘅節奏、質感同能量，多棲嘅佢長期活躍喺舞池同聽音樂派對之中。

嗰晚「上」將會由 JayMe 同 The Herman 作為代表，一齊令呢個舞池更加肩摩轂擊。

After hosting XDB, Reach comes back with another delight, inviting Seoul's guru @dguru

With undeniable influence he's holding over djs in his vicinity, dguru is a force both of tradition and looking forward.

His DJ sets move through disco, house, and the wider field of dance music including indie, but he treats genre as a way of organizing records rather than a fixed identity. Paying attention to where the rhythmic weight sits, and how texture and density shift from one record to the next - dguru is active both in the club environment and listener-oriented nights.

With JayMe and The Heman representing the collective behind the booth this time around - gathering of bright eyed patronage is guaranteed.

REACH is back again, this time with a true OG from Seoul!

Dguru：首爾電子音樂場景嘅不朽靈魂
Dguru 係一位駐首爾嘅 DJ、製作人兼樂隊領隊，佢嘅音樂世界橫跨俱樂部文化、現場電子表演同實驗舞曲。喺超過二十年嘅韓國電子音樂歷史入面，佢一直係首爾俱樂部同地下音樂圈嘅中流砥柱，地位穩如泰山。由2000年代初開始玩電子音樂，佢曾經係Cargo同Answer等經典場地嘅駐場DJ，而家依然經常現身城市各大俱樂部同現場表演，影響力從未減退。
佢嘅DJ set 涵蓋disco、indie dance、house 以至更廣闊嘅舞曲領域，但Dguru 對音樂類型有自己獨到嘅睇法——類型只係整理唱片嘅工具，而唔係固定嘅身份標籤。對佢嚟講，最重要係夜晚嘅劇情發展：點樣一步步建立同釋放能量、節奏嘅重量落喺邊度、質感同密度又點樣由一首歌自然過渡到另一首。佢遊走於兩種截然不同嘅DJ環境——現代俱樂部系統（CDJ加數位混音器），同埋用黑膠轉盤加旋轉混音器嘅長時間聆聽表演。每一種形式，佢都視為獨立嘅技藝去鑽研，而唔係一套公式走天下。
2006年，Dguru 推出首張個人專輯；2008年起，佢領導首爾電子樂團 Idiotape，以現場表演模糊咗傳統樂隊同電子音樂之間嘅界線，足跡遍佈Glastonbury、Sziget、Exit、SXSW、Trans Musicales、Paléo、Summer Sonic 同 Paris Electronic Week 等國際頂級音樂節。佢同時係DJ組合 Dubplate 同 Disco Experience 嘅核心成員。
2026年1月，Dguru 創辦咗 Sangsu Records，一個專注現場表演、藝術過程，同埋深植首爾電子音樂土壤嘅實驗性平台。Mixmag Asia 讚譽呢個品牌「探索性強、耐性十足，同時根植於現場音樂場景」，特別注重「質感同空間」。首個發行 Sangsu 001 就集結咗 GAZAEBAL、Motoko、Haihm 同 Dguru 本人嘅作品，陣容 already 顯示咗佢嘅視野同人脈。
無論係喺熱烈嘅俱樂部舞池、長時間嘅loft 空間，定係充滿張力嘅現場電子表演，Dguru 嘅音樂始終圍繞同一個核心問題：唔單止邊啲唱片勁，而係一個晚會點樣隨住時間慢慢成型、呼吸，同埋活過嚟。

Recovery Sessions is back at @thelisteningroomhk next Sunday as we near the end of our Season 3 run-out 🥹☀️

After the strong turnout in May and June, we’re teaming up with the Wake crew again to keep the proper community afternoons going through the summer.

Just good music on vinyl, familiar faces, new connections, and that relaxed energy where you can actually hear the selections and have a proper chat.

/ DROPSOUND INVITES: atrice (CH)

睽違半年，DROPSOUND聯同來自瑞士的DJ/製作人二人組atrice再次回歸舞池，帶來獨具數位時代氣息與隨機魅力的現場演出。

atrice的作品兼具直覺率性及緊凑結構，並常以UK Bass, Deconstructed Club及Techno等載體呈現。二人組的前瞻性結合五位光譜各異的本地DJ —— 此令人驚喜、耳目一新的新舊面孔陣容，將為夜色中迴蕩的聲紋加上一抹未知與興奮。

Emerging from a 6-month hibernation, DROPSOUND is returning to the dancefloor this April together with the Swiss-Colombian DJ/Producer duo, *atrice*.

Drawing inspiration from everyday encounters and digital overstimulation, *atrice* captivates the crowd by blending detailed sound design, UK bass, deconstructed club and techno with an intrusive yet architectural approach. Their performance will be flanked by a hand-picked lineup of five local DJs — a blend of familiar faces and fresh blood, injecting unexpectancy and surprises into the night.
