We took a leap and made a film in one day and edited the next. This was a challenge for perfectionists 😅. Thanks to our cast and crew for this rollercoaster of writing/shooting/editing in 2 days. Coming to screen soon! @seattle48hfp

With 48 hours to write, shoot and edit we tried to use the colors from @glenn.rockwood and music by @nabeyin to help tell the story with less words.

Stepped into my 5th grader’s classroom yesterday to talk about acting, and I’m still smiling.

We explored how feeling can change a line completely, then I shared clips from my acting journey—including the Little Moments music video with @BradPaisley (https://youtu.be/vBErCVNP6rM?si=bHTdlpwyXSKhJrSl) that I was in 20+ years ago.

Their reactions:
👀👀👀
“EWWWWWW” (romance is SO gross at age 10)
“DOES YOUR HUSBAND KNOW YOU WERE IN THAT VIDEO?!”
“Did you date that guy???”

So many questions. Finding out actors get paired randomly at auditions absolutely broke their brains.

If you ever forget how cool your job is, borrow a classroom full of kids. They will hype you like it’s their full-time job. 🎤✨

✨ New audiobook release! ✨
🎧 Heal Endo by Katie Edmonds — narrated by yours truly 💛

This one means a lot to me. I’ve been living with endometriosis for a while, and this project felt like using my voice for something that truly matters.

Katie’s book is warm, hopeful, and full of insights on what endo is, what can make it worse, and what may help you feel better. It’s written like she’s talking to a best friend — which made it such a joy to narrate.

If you (or someone you love) has been struggling with unexplained pelvic pain, infertility, or painful periods, this one’s for you. 💛

Big shoutout to #USPS for turning a quick errand into a little moment of joy for this mama. I stopped by to grab some stamps to send letters to my kiddos at camp and expected to find some florals or nature scenes (which they had) but I ended up walking out with a whole bundle of FUN. 💌

✨ Pro tip: Stamp prices are going up in 2 weeks, so now’s the time to stock up if you’re planning to send some snail mail love!

✨ Fresh looks, fresh energy ✨

Swipe to meet the new lineup ➡️

These headshots were all about capturing range—different moods, different energies, and the kinds of characters I hope to bring to life.

Big thanks to John Ulman for helping me explore new possibilities. Can’t wait to see where these take me…

Which one’s your favorite? I’d love to hear 💬

📣 We are born creators. My kids prove it every day! My desk is a treasure trove of crowns, bracelets, love notes, and even paperclip hearts. 💖 Their creations remind me of something powerful: Creativity is natural—it’s what we do.

🎭 As actors and voice-over artists, we create too—stories, emotions, connections. Not everyone will love what we make, but our people are out there. This world is BIG, and our voices have a place in it. 🎙️✨

So don’t stop. Keep creating. Keep sharing. That’s how you find your audience. ❤️

There’s nothing quite like a room full of curious, bright-eyed kids to remind me just how much I love what I do. Every time I get the chance to speak at one of my kiddos’ schools, it’s an absolute joy!

Last week, I put together a fun session on voice-over work for a class of budding 4th-grade fiction writers. We explored what it is, where you hear it in everyday life, the skills involved, and—best of all—we played with tone, emotion, pacing, and accents. The classroom was full of laughter and discovery, and we had a blast just being silly together.

Then came my favorite moment—while answering questions, one student thoughtfully said, “I’m adding voice-over to my list of things I want to do when I grow up. I didn’t even know this existed!”

That’s the magic right there. The same wonder I felt when I first discovered this world. Who knows? Maybe a little seed was planted that day. 🌱🎙️

✨ Life has a way of surprising us, and sometimes, it leads us back to what we love while opening new doors. ✨

Last September, I was laid off from my tech job, which sparked a season of reflection and new discoveries. As I’ve been focusing on pursuing acting—a passion I’ve always loved—I’ve also found a new excitement in voice-over.

That said, I’m still open to a Project/Product Management role. While diving into the creative world, I’m also passionate about building healthy cultures in tech and improving processes to make teams more efficient and creative. Whether in tech or performance, I thrive at the intersection of creativity and execution.

Since September, I’ve been busy:
🎧 Recorded and produced an audiobook (check it out on my website!)
🎙️ Signed with The Actors Group in Seattle
📢 Recorded my commercial voice-over demo
🌐 Built a website to showcase my work: www.jaymehewitt.com

How You Can Help:
🎤 Know anyone in the voice-over or acting world? Connections are gold!
🎬 Need a voice or actor for your next project? Let’s chat!
📚 Know anyone writing a book? I'd love to collaborate with them on the audiobook!
📌 Have a Project/Product Management opportunity? I’m still in the game!

Check out my work at www.jaymehewitt.com and DM me if you have a lead—I appreciate all the support! 💙

📚 Authors and rights holders—you can also find me on ACX and AHAB for audiobook narration!
🎭 Casting directors and producers—I’m on Casting Networks, Casting Frontier, and Actors Access!
