30 🦋

My 20s were for self-discovery.

They taught me that time is going to pass anyway, so you might as well spend it becoming the person you’re meant to be.

This decade took me from a small town in Florida to the mountains of Colorado. It taught me to take risks, try new things, leave what no longer aligned, and trust God when I couldn’t see the whole path.

Along the way, I lost 80 pounds, found a healthier lifestyle, discovered a love for hiking and snowboarding, left a career that wasn’t meant for me, and found a partner who has made the journey even sweeter.

Most importantly, I learned that my identity isn’t found in who I used to be—it’s found in Christ.

As I step into my 30s, I’m leaving fear behind. No more playing small. No more waiting until I feel ready.

Just faith, purpose, and a commitment to keep becoming who God created me to be.

2025: the year of exploration 🗺️

I saw so my beautiful things last year:

-Colorado
•The Loch
•Chasm Lake
•Paint Mines

-Salt Lake City
•Stansbury Island
•Salt Flats - had Paul do a birthday photo shoot. Was such an incredible experience!

-went to a comedy show with my in-laws
-went to FL for holidays/birthdays w/ the fam
-kayaked many times with Erin
-had a boating day with my coworkers
-went zip lining with my dad and uncle
-cut down Christmas trees with Morgan
-had a girls trip with Terri
-multiple red rocks concerts
-watched Rebecca become a mother
-went to Eli’s recital - he crushed

After all the adventures, one thing is certain. Time is the most precious intangible item we have. I’ve showed up for my friends in a variety of different ways because it’s important to me that they know I support them. As they say, who you surround yourself with will determine the course of your life. Those in my life have continued to challenge me and help reframe all of the terrible things I’ve let myself believe to be true. I, too, have challenged myself to grow this year in areas I’ve always feared & all the highs and lows have brought me here.

2026: the year of rediscovery

2023 changed me. Colorado has changed me. Change can be scary but it has taught me some valuable lessons. Change showed me who my friends were. When I say “friends” I mean real, genuine, love you as you come, type friends. The ones who have your back when times are at their hardest. The ones who work tirelessly to disprove the negative thoughts we have about ourselves. I’ve learned to lean into the positive affirmations supplied by my inner circle. In 2021/22, when I was still fresh to Denver, I wanted so badly to find people who were meant for me. 2023 was the answer to that call. For all of those who have met me, continue to shower me in love, have seen the ugly and still see perfection; thank you. Your kindness has brought me further in my journey towards healing than I could have ever imagined. 💕🫶🏼❤️ taken in Colorado by @jaymee_johnson
