New single ‘Burn Down the Data Center’ will be released September 25! This song is a musical response to the fresh Hell we find ourselves in today. Recorded by Texas blues and roots icons featuring Willie Pipkin and Jay Moeller (Guitar and Drums of The Fabulous Thunderbirds) Piano Ace Henri Herbert and Jason Crisp on the thick string. The song was recorded live in the studio without computer trickery, and is an unfiltered response to the 34 data centers being put up in the I 35 corridor between Austin and San Antonio right now.

Now, let's get to this fella.

@stuart.sullivan.13 is as good as it gets.

I've had the luxury of getting to work with Stuart for around 30 years.
There is never a, "oh that's not possible", or an "oh you wouldn't wanna do that" moment, that
You might get at most other places, with Stuart.
Sure there might be a clever, somewhat demeaning comment hurled at ya about the path you wanna take, but then it's......sure, let's figure it out.
There is never any panic about it, just finding a solution to make it work.

Man, & the drum sound is always happenin'!!

We did an "all on the floor" recording this week, with vocals right in the middle of it. The only baffle I saw was between the bass amp & drums......well, & the look on the bass player's face, but that's for a different post.

Man, & his new 'Point West Studio", might be the best room he's ever had. What a fantastic studio!!

Man, I gotta tell ya.......Guy Forsyth is a great musician & front guy.
I should call him a " band leader."
Those are 2 separate things, & he has a great way of quaterbacking the situation.
We made a fantastic recording this week.
We set up in the same room & blasted that shit Live., & Guy stood right there in the middle of all the racket & sang the whole record, live, on the floor. Amazing!!
Who's got the nerve to do shit like that?
Only overdub on the recording is a percussion track & a gang vocal.
I applaud @guyforsyth
for how hard he's worked on his craft. He can kinda do it all.

@williepipkin @jcrispy5000 & @henri_herbert_piano were all fantastic, too. by @jaymoeller_

Sometimes the blessings are in the quietest moments. Like when I’m hanging with legends, and legends to be in the lobby of @arlynstudios while teching drums for a session for an @antonesnightclub blues legacy recording session. @theroddbland @jaymoeller_ it was my honor gentlemen ne’’ my blessing to sculpt tones for you both. Oh the lessons learned listening to you both. Just another day, or is it? #drumtech #antonesnightclub #blessed by @jaymoeller_

Man, i feel like the whole world is taking aim & firing on my Brother, & man, i ain't with it!!!
I mean, he shoots back & this time it just made it all worse.

I'm not coming up in here to fight with anybody & I'm not trying to get up in here & be clownin' around with any of these clowns either.
I'm just here to throw a little love at my brother & just call it how i see it.

Mr. Charley Crockett is an extremely kind & generous soul.
I have worked on almost every record he has made.
He has an absolute killer on drums in Mario Valdez, who can handle any drum shit thrown at him, but Charley still includes me in his endeavors because he is extremely loyal to our friendship.

I have played on 673 records in my life & don't get much love afterwards, ever!!

Not the case in his orbit.

Over the years, i hear all these interviews where he speaks of me in a way that makes me feel proud of myself. He's kind of the only person that does & I'm grateful that he would take the time to speak some kind words about me.
I've had friends in London call & say, man, Charley went on about you last night in the middle of his show. He's got so much ground to cover & to stop & throw some love my way, Amazing!!!
The way he treats his fans, so gracious. I've never seen him be rude to anybody that didn't deserves it, & was probably kind about that as well. He is kind & inviting to every person he comes in contact with, even the one's who just put him through all this shit.
I was there the day they arrived at our camp.
We were in session for the "age of the ram" record & them being some future clients of Shooters, they wanna use that to come meet Charley.

He is fully accommodating towards them. I'm sure he offered them whatever food, drink & comfort that he had provided for the session. I didn't think anything of them being there, they just looked like some people making a stop on their way to the whole foods. He is like that to anybody that might drop by.

He cares about being a stand up guy.

So as the session goes on.........

Continued in comments.

Man, that was not what I was trying to do.

The point i was trying to make got lost.

I was looking for a photo in my phone & a few months back, & i saw that screne shot there & thought i use that as an example.
Could of been anything I used to get to get to the point that I'm not going to focus on shit that slows me down anymore...... it's "Forward ever" like Jacob "killer" Miller says.

Man, i'm'a put 53 recorded songs from my voice memos on Spotify, of which i don't have, & it will get me that $ next year.
Then it'll be back to giving studio dude's all my $......it's not their fault I call them everyday to see if I can get it.
I am happy for my friends that did qualify, never envious or jealous......I just need some too!!
I feel like I'm in a race against the clock & my neck skin on here proves it.
I feel a pressure to get this shit done!!
I've lost everything before & it didn't bother me.....
So I'm not upset about missing something I never had......but it would've helped.
When I didn't, I agreed with myself to do anythings necessary to get all these songs finished.

Stay tuned!

Okie-doke!

Love y'all!
