The story of Christ feeding the 5,000 is so inspiring to me. After learning of the death of his cousin John the Baptist, Jesus seeks solitude. Yet when a multitude follows him, he turns toward them instead of turning away in his grief. He heals and feeds them all—a miracle of selfless compassion and love.
