On Friday 9th October, 2026, I was witness to a religious experience. This was not some simple gig, this was an awakening, a moment of connection to something marvelous. I have enjoyed the music of @fenbanduk for many years, their rich, engulfing sound calms my chaotic soul & when I am manic or cannot sleep, their music cuts through it all. I have several of their albums, with Epoch, Carrion Skies & Monuments to Absence being personal favourites. With the new album, the band undertook a tour of the UK. I was lucky enough to see them at the wonderful Moor Beer Company venue. I have never been to such an accessible positive venue. There are some difficulties for wheelchair users at the venue, but the staff & in particular, Grace, really do stand by their words to make the venue as inclusive as possible.
Before the gig started, the band very kindly signed a very precious momento for me. This night was fantastic & took me away from the stress of dealing with my current health issues. I wish to send my gratitude & sincere respect to both the band Fen & the brilliant venue.

Searching the underground for new music & I've found this masterpiece. Al Namrood are a Saudi Black Metal band, who record in secret, to avoid being arrested. The music is incredible & beautiful. Black Metal has a dark past, but a bright future.

When I found out that Troublemaker Games made a Count Binface lead soldier, I had to have one. What makes this better, all profits from this model are donated to the NHS.
This was hilarious, but it's also a serious comment on the state of healthcare in the UK. Via this figure, both Troublemaker Games & Count Binface have done more for the NHS than the 'politician' who stood against the Count.

Some friends thought it would be fun to gift me, an atheist, a statue of the pope. They know I have form, having previously modified a Virgin Mary statue into Asaaj Ventress, from Star Wars.
This time, as I looked at this cheap resin statue, I saw someone far darker. The first job was to attach the arm, then modify his robe, grind down the buttons & give him a hood.
While he was curing, I constructed a throne from paper stock. The throne was a difficult task, with the curves, funny angles & lighting of the throne from the second Deathstar. Once constructed, it was painted & the batteries added in the back.
The throne was fitted to a base, with a lovely ecclesiastical floor.
The statue was painted, highlighted, given a dark wash & finally fitted to the base. The Sith lightning was made with UV resin & a blue marker. So here we have Darth Francis... oh dear!

Are you a part of it?
Today we visited the very place where Cassian Andor was apprehended by an officious Shore Trooper, which led to him being sent to Narkina 5. It is actually Cleveleys in Blackpool & it was blowing a gale, raining & bloody cold. It was still a lot of fun to visit.

As a part of the GertLUG exhibition at Avon Valley Railway, this is my display of Technic motorbikes. The larger model is fully radio controlled, while the others are genuine LEGO sets.

Owning lightsabres comes with storage problems and I'm not prepared to bury them on Tatooine! So here I present a sword rack that holds four sabres & the flat non combat Darksabre blade. We even got approval from a pair of Grogus! Yes, the sabres are above our pillows & yes, the little pink teddy bear is mine. Even Sith Lords need a teddy bear!
