𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗥I love a good conversation. The kind with depth, the kind that lingers in your mind for days, sometimes weeks, after it’s over.Honestly, I never thought of my ability to hold those conversations as a gift until… recently I guess. So when Natasha Omokhodion of Copper Monstera and author extraordinaire, asked me to facilitate panels at the launch of “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀”, an anthology of local stories centering women and money, it was an immediate, excited YES.𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝟭: 𝗔 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, with three incredible women: Monica Mweene Banda (Entrepreneur & Restaurateur, Co-founder of Flambé by Vox), Putty Kabango Muuka (Founder, Save and Remit Services), and Sefina Mweemba (Head of Business Solutions – Payments, IZWE Loans PLC).𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝟮: 𝗔 𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝗼𝗻-𝗼𝗻𝗲 with Nathan Chulu, co-founder of the Virnam Group, unpacking his philosophies on business, partnerships, and friendship.Both were SO much fun. I loved connecting with each of them beyond the professional (good conversations tend to do that) pulling out stories they didn’t even realize were meaningful, until they landed with the room.It reminded me that this is a gift I haven’t intentionally nurtured. 𝗔 𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧I am a firm believer in the “it’s not what they call you, it’s what you answer to” mindset. Because a lot of the time, us women want other women to call us lucky, gorgeous, successful, happily married… so we focus on the wrong things. Instead of investing you are acquiring things to impress other girls. And men, sorry to disappoint but most women are showing out for other women, I promise you. Just check how gurls dress to an all ladies outing or event. It’s not for men most of the time… but I digress.Invest ladies. Regardless of your status build the confidence of a quiet million-dollar portfolio growing and compounding silently… or even loudly actually.I promise you, you will feel, look, react and move so differently.
