You’re invited to a staged reading of Where the Black Boys Are, written by Jameson P. Murray based upon the poetry of Marvin K. White.Where the Black Boys Are is a choreopoem that follows four black men trying to grieve the end of their boyhood. When their support group begins to transform the real world, they must dare to fly to find freedom.Join us Friday, November 21st at 7pm at the BCA for the reading as well as a community healing circle and post-show conversation. My heart is so full today 💜💛💚Spending Mardi Gras with all my kids is the real parade for me. The laughter, the beads, the tiny hands grabbing throws, the Zulu coconuts, and the big smiles make every moment sweeter. This weekend, good times were had at @urbanfest360 . I’ve screened at a few festivals, but never had I gotten the full VIP treatment. Sometimes you create it for yourself. Thank you to @iamlyneabell @kidsinthespotlight @mentorsforfatherlesschildren for bringing me out to represent! I got to talk about the program, TNL, and the amazing short films we played including A Movie Named Sucka. Also I’m the leo who asked about pictures and videos because I lost my camera in the lyft ride (I got it back now, but based onna answer I needed that camera huh?? 🤔 Next up: hiring a videographer because I can’t do everything myself for myself) by @jaypaydro
