Congrats to Connor and his Royals squad, after winning the GTHL championships, they stretched their minor hockey careers out to the last possible day that they could - all of us never wanting it to end. They lost to the eventual OHF Cup winners in the semis this weekend. End of an era. Tough to say goodbye. The fun we had & the wonderful friends we’ve made - all because of hockey has been one of life’s great joys. Connor has been drafted & now joins me on my summer beer league team, a role I’ve been training him for his whole life. It’s another great joy - to play alongside a kid that’s become a man that we’re so proud of. by @jaypsweeney

Redefining epic is a challenge worth seeking out for the rest of time. It had been 13 years since we’d visited Costa Rica 🇨🇷. This was a fun season with this stellar crew. With @menalon20 Steve Morris & @darcy_forster, our boys Adam, Charlie & Connor now men, were able to join - completing their transition the beer league players. It was such a joy for us. Team started slow, a had a losing record in regular season and did what was needed in the playoffs. The youth injection carried us through. @connor.sweeney_ took a puck to the wrist 1/2 way through the final game and couldn’t continue. Won 5-2. X-rays proved no fracture, just a deep bone bruise. Last post of our trip. Tombstone is the name of the peak. It’s 405 ft and it’s not taken anyone yet. This BASE jump was some bucket list madness. I’ve followed these guys here for a year with plans to do it one day. That day came. It was as fun as it was frightening. Sharing the full video. My terror is not hidden.
