No words will describe on how I really feel. I began my DJ journey @mkkaraoke_lounge , after I was told to never DJ again in my life. I made it a goal of mine to change up the music, make everyone have fun, most importantly prove myself and people wrong. I’m stubborn like that. Fast forward many years later, I would have never thought I would have made it this far. The moment I teared was so many emotions, all the memories, lessons I learned, the people I met and family I made here will always be in my heart. So many people to name that was part of this journey and those who know will know how grateful I am.

It’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you later. I didn’t give up 6 years ago, it’s not time to give up now. Stay tuned.. by @jayrcamba

July 4th Jokah’s Wild is in the books
🎥: @theregoesbarry
👩🏻‍🎨: @christabellly

When we started Jokah’s Wild I had so much anxiety. Would people understand what is it that Im trying to do? Would they be able to support dj’s playing less mainstream genres? Yall proved me wrong time and time again. We have the best partiers…I never should have doubted!

Big shoutout to all of the DJs that have graced us in this party series. Each one of you have contributed hugely to its success. Here is to many more 💪🏼

This photo wasn’t just a tired moment. Looking back, this was literally the beginning of my downfall.

At the time, I didn’t realize how much I was running myself into the ground. The late nights, going home when the sun is up, constantly being on the go, barely resting, and just pushing through everything because I thought I had to.

Then everything started unraveling.

What followed were months of struggling mentally and running on completely empty until eventually my body and mind forced me to stop.

We make this lifestyle look effortless under the stage lights. You see the music, the crowd, the energy and the good moments. You don’t always see what happens behind the scenes.

I’m finally focusing on my health again and trying to get myself back on track. And honestly, I wish I had listened to what this photo was telling me way sooner.

So to my fellow DJs, artists, promoters, and anyone constantly pushing themselves every weekend:

Please take care of yourself.

If you’re always exhausted, isolating yourself, feeling anxious, running on fumes, using substances to keep going or constantly telling yourself you’ll deal with it later — take a step back.

Take the weekend off. Get some sleep. Eat. Drink some water. Go get checked out. Log off for a little while. Protect your peace.

The party will always be there. The gig will always be there.

Your health might not wait for you to catch up.

I’m learning that the hard way.

You only get one body and one mind. Take care of both. by @jayrcamba

First one sets the standard. No set lists - just pure, unfiltered energy rooted in 90s/2000s hip-hop, R&B, and the anthems that make the room move.

We’re launching the very first NO FILTER this Friday, 09/04, at @hiddentigernyc. Doors open at 10 PM. Pull up early, swipe to see the energy, and let’s set the tone.
