Texas Frightmare was a TOTAL SUCCESS!!

Meeting Shawnee was truly a dream come true. Connecting with Shawnee about grief and mental health was truly so healing, as Amanda’s character is the only one that I’ve ever truly seen myself in.

“When I hear that song, I’ll think of you.” Shawnee told me- 3 Libras by a Perfect Circle was the song that helped her through the grief of losing someone. Now, it’s a song that we both connect with each other through. The lyrics were something that Shawnee felt close to- “You don’t see me.” Something we both could relate to. Amanda’s character was the first time I truly felt seen, and I’m so glad I could help Shawnee feel seen too.

One year is such a long time for it to have felt so short. You came into my life at a time that was so unstable and unpredictable and turned it into a life I never thought i would have. You took everything in me that i hated and turned it into something you love. You took parts of me I didn’t think could heal and made them the blocks I stand on. You seriously have turned my world upside down in the best way possible. Took me on dates that I’d dreamed of for years. And you still constantly show me that I can be the person I’ve always wanted to be. Never have I felt so supported, seen, heard, and respected.
