If you’re avoiding a place after a traumatic event, your nervous system is trying to protect you. Healing shouldn’t be forced, instead use micro exposure to help train your brain that the danger has passed. Be gentle with yourself and your kids. There is no timeline for recovery.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours! Feeling grateful to have a family up for any adventure that took us to live in 3 different countries in one year. We have officially left Canada and moved to Austin to be closer to family and to rekindle my Texan roots! 🤠
