There are countless days when I feel so inadequate. Like everything I’m trying to do isn’t making a difference But I could never be more wrong. I never need to feel that way, when SO many people are just happy I’m here. I’ve made a difference in lives that I couldn’t believe, and I just wanted to say thank you. As long as I’m here, I’ll keep doing what I have, and will do by @jaywillphoto

A brand shoot should do more than give you something nice to post. It should give your business visuals that actually have a purpose. Before your next brand shoot, here are 3 things worth thinking about: 1. Know what your content needs to do. Are you launching a product, building brand awareness, attracting new clients or establishing credibility? Your goal should influence the images we create. 2. Plan for more than one post. Think website banners, social media, launch announcements, promotional graphics and behind-the-scenes content. A well-planned shoot can give you a library of visuals to work with, rather than just a handful of disconnected photos. 3. Make sure your visuals feel like your brand. Your images should reflect your personality, message and audience. The goal isn’t simply to look professional. It’s to create a consistent visual identity that people can recognise. This is why I believe the best brand photography starts before the camera comes out. It’s about understanding the vision, identifying the purpose and creating imagery around it. Toronto brands and entrepreneurs: What is the biggest challenge you face when creating content for your business?
