2028 6’9 Wing Jamel McKinley (@jayyy2.official ) continued his hot summer with an impressive showing at GBCA Live period. Headlined by a 26 point performance against Alexander HS (GA) McKinley averaged 15pts - 8rebs and 3blks over the course of the weekend against top programs from Georgia and Florida. McKinley showcased why is quickly emerging as one of the hottest names in the region as he was able to score from all three levels as well as lead and finish transition opportunities. Defensively his length led to multiple blocks, altered shots, and disrupted the flow of the offense consistently. College Coaches!!! Jamel McKinley 6’9 F Cane Bay High School 3.5 GPA Jamel’s stock exploded following a breakout season, rising from unranked to No. 13 in South Carolina’s Class of 2028. Despite battling injuries for much of the year, he helped lead Cane Bay High School on a deep playoff run and continued to prove why he’s one of the state’s most intriguing long-term prospects. At 6’9” with a 7’+ wingspan, Jamel is a true two-way forward with rare versatility. Defensively, his length, mobility, and instincts allow him to switch across multiple positions, disrupt ball handlers, and alter shots all over the floor. He covers ground effortlessly and impacts winning without needing plays called for him. Offensively, Jamel presents matchup problems at every level. He stretches the floor with consistent NBA-range shooting, attacks closeouts off the bounce, and finishes through contact at the rim. He can shoot over smaller defenders, beat bigger defenders off the dribble, and punish mismatches in the post or short corner. Jamel will suit up with Team Unleashed SC 2028 this July in Las Vegas during the Nike EYBL Live Period, where he will have another opportunity to showcase his game in front of college programs from across the country.
