There was a season when I lost pieces of myself trying to survive. Navigating heartbreak, motherhood, financial setbacks, uncertainty, and the weight of carrying everything on my own. Some days I questioned my worth. Some days I questioned if I’d ever become the woman I knew I was meant to be.

But healing has a way of finding you when you decide not to give up.

Every setback became a lesson. Every closed door redirected me. Every tear watered the version of me that’s finally learning to choose herself again.

I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m no longer where I used to be. I’m rebuilding. Relearning. Reclaiming my confidence, my purpose, and my peace.

This chapter isn’t about perfection—it’s about redemption.

To every woman starting over: your story isn’t over. Keep going. The woman you’re becoming is worth every struggle you survived. ✨

Feeling soul grateful.

8 months ago, I was scrambling for a place to live, a car, bills were kicking my back in and I was struggling as a new mom to balance life.

Today, I have my own place, a car( thanks dad), my finances are flourishing,m( thank you to all my clients for always believing in me and rocking with me-i love y’all for real)my daughter is as happy as she can be and Im feeling blessed.

Life has definitely taught me that everything is a part of a divine plan to grow you into your highest self.

The more important the lessen the more severe the consequences if directions are not followed.

But you can’t hear what’s being said when you’re aligning yourself with what or who doesn’t align with your divine life’s plan.

Everything doesn’t always feel good but it’s not meant to. Nor does everything stay the same. You don’t have to be grateful for your struggle in the moment of it, but be sure to take note of the lesson and be grateful that it chose you because whether it shows or not, thats progression.

Culture Con 25’

Here are a few Gems I took from @culturecon

1. It was my first year attending. I missed last year, waiting to get my ticket, so this year I bought mine almost 8 months in advance. I was geeked! I didn’t know what I was getting into but I just knew I wanted to be there.

Lesson #1: Don’t wait, because it may not be available. ( my life lesson, I swear 😩)

2. I went alone. I’ve never been afraid to travel on my own, but now that I’m a mother.. traveling alone isn’t something I do often. So it was new for me. But I’ve always enjoyed being by myself at events, I can move when I want, be as shy or out spoken when I want and leave when I’m ready.

Lesson #2: it’s okay to be comfortable in your own company.

3. Being there in that space, was inspiring and uplifting. I felt safe to be myself, around my people. It was so beautiful just getting to know everyone from so many walks of life. Also, seeing the amount of creatives professionals in their respective spaces really showed me how big life can be. It was like a melting pot of people( black people) from many different walks of life- some well know celebrities, influencers, business owners and the every day working class.

Lesson #3: Play small if you want, but you don’t have to for real. Take up space if you please , theres room- no need to over think it. Either way, the choice is yours.🤍

* The reason I went was to network- I did no such thing lol. I was too shy, unfortunately. But I did give my info out to a few people not many. But it’s okay, instead I went into a space where the vibration was so high that I felt uplifted when I left, robbed of nothing and gifted with inspiration.

My best friend @nieshhh threw me a surprise baby shower @princeteahouse

When I say I was so shocked and excited!
Her and her family and everyone that came.. it was perfect. It really made me feel loved. Especially during these trying times in my pregnancy.

The attention to detail and thought that went into this really just showed her love for me💕 as always !

She literally made all the party favors and some of the gifts by hand!
Her, her mom and sister!
Dee, you know I love you, and I don’t need social media to prove it but I do want the world to know how much this meant to me.

I just can’t thank everyone who came and supported, enough 💕💕💕 only @reminisce213 missing
