Welcome to my little witchy corner of the internet.

I’ve identified as a witch for as long as I can remember. Even before I had language for it, the mystical lived quietly- and sometimes loudly - through the women in my life. Not all of them would call themselves witches, but spirit has always known where to find us.

On my mum's side, my grandmother read coffee cups and tea leaves with ease, the symbols rising to meet her intuition. On my dad's side, my grandmother gifted me my first set of runes when I was 9, unknowingly placing my future in my hands. I have psychic aunties and cousins, stories of knowing before knowing. I feel my lineage deeply: Egyptian on one side, Native American Arawak on the other. Ancestral memory lives in my bones. My intuition has never failed me, and I trust the conversation I have always had with the universe - the signs, symbols, and whispers it offers when I’m listening.
I began practising magick when I was 9. I had a secret cupboard hidden inside my wall - big enough for me to sit inside. That became my first sanctuary. Inside it lived my altar, spell books, herbs, oils, resins, tarot decks, and runes. My dad took me to buy my first tiny cauldron from a market stall. My mum took me to bookshops every weekend and bought me a spell book every time.
One day, I brought my spell book to school and formed a 3 person coven with my 2 best friends. Some kids were fascinated. Others hated us. They called us devil worshippers (something that couldn’t have been further from the truth.) Mostly, we were casting spells to make boys we liked call us (which they often did, much to their confusion), trying money spells, weather magic, and anything that might help us ace a test. We practiced wherever we could - after school, on weekends, at each other’s houses. We attempted astral projection with full belief and wildly imaginative confidence, convinced we could travel straight to the houses of the boys we fancied.
As I got older, that certainty began to waver. When boys became friends and then boyfriends, I felt the familiar pressure to hide myself, to hide the parts that felt... by @jazminemagick

Can't believe we are almost at our 2nd to last circle of the year! Beltane is one of my favourite Sabbats to celebrate in the wheel of the year, the peak of spring, a fire festival dedicated to pleasure and new life.

Join us for this beautiful outdoor gathering under the ancient trees in Centennial Park for some witchy sh*t.

When I was a baby witch at 8 years old, my biggest dream was to have a coven. I used AOL dial up internet to search covens in the UK and came up with nothing but random mystic schools in the US. Whilst I loved being a witch my practice was often in isolation, for fear of being misunderstood, called a devil worshipper or just generally shunned. I stopped calling myself a witch by the time I got to my mid teens and had hidden everything away by the time I turned 16.
Reclaiming the word witch in recent years has been so freeing, has helped me break the witch wound and fully step into something that has been in my blood, and a huge part of my purpose in this lifetime. It's been a homecoming and I've never been prouder to call myself a witch than I am today.
